BRB'U Fight Club! Round 1 - Scary Womanizing Pig Mask - 05-29-2009

Since Fyre left this baby in the dumpster I decided to adopt it and after a bit of nurturing on my part, it's grown up into the fine adult poll it is today (that's about as far as I think I can stretch that metaphor) A random bracket has been made and every 24 hours (hopefully) a new matchup will start till we reach arrive at the conclusive badass of BRB'U.

And the first match up is:

Mike Tyson vs. Godot

Mike Tyson
(From Boxing)

Why he's a badass
Let's start with the fact that he bit off a chunk of a guy's ear. Twice. Kid Dynamite was the youngest Heavywieght Champion in his heyday (hence the nickname), winning 44 of his 50 wins by knockouts, and only losing 6 in his career. The man has a tattoo of Mao on his arm (and speaking of that, just look at the size of 'em) And he's even tougher in video game form. One of the hardest bosses of all time (right up there with The Yellow Devil from Megaman I) he awaits whatever player can reach the end of the arduously challenging Punch Out! for the NES, and then proceeds to rape them. No exceptions (seriously, you try beating this guy)

Why he's not a badass
Speaking of rape, Iron Mike, spent three years in jail for his sexual assault of Ms. South Carolina, got robbed by his golddigger of a wife and generally was a sleaze, representing the changing era of boxing from one of classy heroes engaged in honorable bouts of fisticuffs like Muhammad Ali (think Dudley from Street Fighter 3) to brutally violent brawls between thugs (think Balrog from Street Fighter 2, who, by coincidence, was inspired by Mike (to the point of being named M. Bison in Japan.) Plus that face tattoo is so tacky.

Godot
(From Phoenix Wright: Trials and Tribulations)

Why he's a badass
From crushing coffee mugs with his bare hands to making some of the most nonsensical analogies ever heard, Godot is undeniably suave (just listen to his themesong, and one of the best lawyers in the Ace Attorney series. Godot always keeps his cool and wit, whether he's making the Judge his bitch or throwing a mug of Godot Blend 107 at Phoenix Wright, everyone's favorite caffeine addict is strong as the coffee he drinks, in body and in spirit.

Why he's not a badass
While he's a moderately skilled, his occupation is technically a lawyer (although when you consider what goes on in a Ace Attorney courtroom, perhaps this goes above.) Godot's biggest fault though is that, as funny as it may be, he can be a dick who, as good of person as he may be, let's his grief guide him on a misguided personal vendetta that ultimately consumes him, until a spiky haired defense attorney can set him free.

Who's your choice? Cast your votes and check back tomorrow for round 2, in the mean time, if you'd like to help in any way in the form of pictures or writing up these summaries for some of the charecters, I could really use a hand. The full list is:

The fact that I spotted Sho Minamimoto on that list means that you don't need to do any more, we already know the winner.

Obviously you didn't read the full list, lest you would have seen Edward Norton in the list

Only if it's Edward Norton from "The Italian Job" because he was "Motherfucking Edward Norton in a helicopter".  He's... he's a monster if he's in his little helicopter.

I prefer American History X Norton.  No matter what the votes are he can simply curb stomp the competition

Please, Liquid Snake is where it's at. As for these two, happy to see my favorite prosecutor taking the lead Smile

I hear bias on the part of the creator.  You have to take the impartial side. Tongue

ali was far far from a classy champion. he never shut his mouth

Re: BRB'U Fight Club! Round 1 - [fr31ns]Karrde - 05-30-2009

Godot.  He's not known for biting people's ears off and then falling into infamy where he can't kick anyone's ass anymore aside from the odd barfight.

Re: BRB'U Fight Club! Round 1 - Wedge - 05-30-2009

Tyson punches Godot who then takes Tyson to court and gets him put away for life.  Godot wins.
