k0ala's introduction - k0ala - 06-24-2009 Hi there. I've noticed people with [brb.u] in their name recently. Usually in the "You were killed by:" screen. I got invited by Seux to go try the WTF server, and found this cool crowd. (She also made this sweet avatar.) I've been gaming for a long time, I'll admit. I remember Castle Wolfenstein for the Apple II, and when I had a PC and a modem I downloaded Wolf3D. After getting my ass kicked in Action Quake I decided to give up FPS's, but TF2 has reawakened my interest and twitch nerves. It's relaxing to indulge in cartoon violence in the middle of my day; keeps my stress levels down. I love playing as Heavy and Engineer. Natascha is my favorite gun, but while it slows the target down, I usually need a teammate to finish the target off. So I guess I make a good teammate. It's hard for me to pay attention to the random mic spam... so "Heavy, behind you!" works better than "Dude, behind you!" yeah, I've had a furry roleplay character for a while, since computers had green screens; that's where the name comes from. Re: k0ala's introduction - Kilgannon - 06-24-2009 Nice to meet you. Re: k0ala's introduction - Scary Womanizing Pig Mask - 06-24-2009 Hi! Re: k0ala's introduction - CaffeinePowered - 06-24-2009 'allo Currently play anything else besides TF2? We got a bunch of other stuff that goes on too including L4D, Planetside, Demigod, Mod Nights (Currently Ballmen), Serious Sam, and The Ship, if you're in the steam group already theres usually pop-up announcements when an event starts Re: k0ala's introduction - k0ala - 06-24-2009 Not yet... Right now I'm about at the max time I should be spending gaming; I'm also trying to find a job, edit some books for my house business, and get my bike running. My gaming time is split between WoW, TF2, and Audiosurf. I could spend money for more recent games but I can't afford to get the new hardware that the new games require. I like casual games and instant-join games because I can take a break from InDesign and shoot things then get back to work. (It's that last part that I usually forget... one more round, please!) Re: k0ala's introduction - KarthXLR - 06-24-2009 Welcome to BRB, U. Re: k0ala's introduction - zaneyard - 06-24-2009 welcome! Re: k0ala's introduction - Honest - 06-24-2009 Welcome to brbu. Re: k0ala's introduction - WTF Joel - 06-24-2009 HA HA HA You see that? WTF server is already bringing more furries to brbu! YOU ARE ALL DOOMED! SOON THIS WORLD WILL BE MINE! Also, Hi I'm surprised and glad to see you here sir. Welcome. :3 Re: k0ala's introduction - g-rad - 06-24-2009 Â Welcome, Â Â Â I must insist that violence in any part of the brings the stress level down. You have been in the FPS scene far longer than I have, I can tell you that much. Role play character... as in kinky or as in role playing games? Either answer is acceptable, although I'm not into yiffing myself I do find sexual fetishes most fascinating. I look forward to lighting you on fire and burning down your buildings in tf2 sometime. Re: k0ala's introduction - k0ala - 06-25-2009 sup Lemur can i join your clan Re: k0ala's introduction - cannedpeahes - 06-25-2009 Furries pick the weirdest creatures. Well, hello. You'll be competing with me for Heavy kills. It's pretty much all I play. Wow, my first day here and I get to explain my sex life! I've had a character on a roleplay chatserver called FurryMUCK, and it's freeform roleplay in the "consensual reality" style, where you can do and say things that are in-character, but you can't dictate anyone else's moves, then they tell the room what they're doing. It could lead to sex, but mostly it just led to a bunch of animal-headed people sitting around bitching about NOT getting laid. It's a mode of expression, rather than a fetish. Yeah there's good cartoon porn to be had, and the artists will take commissions, but usually it's of another fetish that furry characters are participating in. As I like to say, "Most of us in the fandom don't want to screw animals... we want to screw LIKE animals." I've partied my ass off at the conventions, and I'm happy to say that I met my girlfriend at one. Re: k0ala's introduction - Benito Mussolini - 06-25-2009 Welcome, marsupial. Re: k0ala's introduction - at0m - 06-25-2009 I see you have also replaced a vowel with a number in your name. This may become an issue. Re: k0ala's introduction - g-rad - 06-25-2009 Â Â This answer is quite satisfactory. I'm rather straightforward when it comes to a topic of interest, so please forgive me my crassness. I'd disagree that it is not a fetish however, it just may not be one for you. I find it humorous that people would sit around in an online forum complaining about not getting laid, certainly you also see the humor in it? I'm a gamerdude and comic book reader. I have a motorcycle and I wish I had Engineer's fix-it wrench in the real world. I'm programming staff at Comic-Con in San Diego this July. I forgive your crassness. I can talk about it for a while in private chat so just give me a jingle on steam. You've been introduced to it as just a fetish; I can assure you I've been "in the fandom" for 16 years and I can appreciate it for more.
