H.A.V.E. Online - Dr. Headcrab Zombie - 07-04-2009 Gentlemen, welcome to the new age where Team Fortress 2 gets it's own rip-off version, H.A.V.E. Online. You play as mini Toy characters/action figures. Almost every class is copied. You have your overpowered sniper, Heavy's Machine gun, a RAWKET LAWNCHAIR, mini bombs just like the Demo's primary bombs except their EMP for the dolls...,SMG and much, MUCH more! You play as robots and the best part, (sarcastic?) they have girls, yep the text does not lie! I believe it's a Thrid Person Shooter or maybe it can be a FPS. (Don't know.) Anime characters.....yes or no? Here's the proof. http://kotaku.com/5306691/korean-pc-game-rips+off-team-fortress-2 Enjoy! ;D Re: H.A.V.E. Online - Blues - 07-04-2009 I was going to post this yesterday but then I found a really fucking awesome porn pic 2 threads down from where I read it, so instead I wanked and then played Ghostbusters. Re: H.A.V.E. Online - chronomaster - 07-04-2009 Technically Team Fortress is just an expanded game mode so it's not a ripoff unless it fails to acknowledge it's the Team Fortress variant of shooters or, more acceptably, if they proclaimed themselves unique, which I don't recall seeing. Kotaku is fail otaku for making this link. Not so much on anything else. On the game itself: THE ONE-EYED DEMOMAN IS A BIT MUCH THOUGH. But at least I haven't seen medics shooting medicine or pushing invulnerables. That appears to happen through powerups which is more of a mainstay from Doom and Quake. Re: H.A.V.E. Online - Wedge - 07-04-2009 It looks a bit like crap either way. Probably should have ripped off TF2 a bit more. Re: H.A.V.E. Online - Neonie - 07-04-2009 Its in third person view. They seem to have taken a lot of design aspects from TF2 as far as weapons go, but it's not as blatant as a Rip Off as it could be. There are some distinguishing factors, it's not like they just took TF2 and reskinned it with different characters. Don't get me wrong, the game is probably absolute shit, but it's not as bad as it could be or as people are making it out to be. Edit: Also, for every blog/fourm/whatever post, people are spreading the word about this game. You may think "OMG no one is going to play that because it is a rip off" but think of all the people (teenagers, low budget households/family's/ect.) who are now finding out about this game because of all the controversy surrounding it. If it's from Korea, most likely it's going to be free and include a cash shop. So now those who can't afford TF2 have a slightly worse alternative. (Or much worse, depending on how it turns out). Re: H.A.V.E. Like it's some form of ENTITLEMENT or something. Entitlement is the buzz word of this year. Believe it. Re: H.A.V.E. Online - Squishy3 - 07-04-2009 I was thinking it was more along the lines of a TF/SSB mashup with the whole dolls coming to life and waging warfare in a room Re: H.A.V.E. Also, the Sniper in this video took body shots to the next level. Re: H.A.V.E. It requires an incredible degree of interpretation and timing that no one is able to persistently muster. Re: H.A.V.E. [/quote] snipers might have the highest skill ceiling but theres a reason theyre rarely used competitively. they flat out dont work and are really easy to counter. spies dont have the highest skill ceiling unless youre counting ambassador headshots pre nerf. spy is an incredibly easy class to play they have so many tools given to them. the only problem is retard heavies and pyros spraying everywhere (not checking, just being stupid), people randomly wandering into you even though youre against a wall way out of the traffic patern, failed backstabs, etc. unfortunately this makes playing spy really frustrating also the competitive community will leave this game far before the pub community does Re: H.A.V.E. It's true they can be countered easily, but they can be used. I've done it quite a few times. Re: H.A.V.E. Re: H.A.V.E. Online - Radio Raheem - 07-05-2009 either way the game is pretty much dead it doesnt matter which side leaves Re: H.A.V.E. Online - copulatingduck - 07-05-2009 I think you all are confusing skill-ceiling and dmg-potential or something... Sniper doesn't have a ridiculous ceiling, it's just hitscan on slow-moving, fat-headed idiots ffs. Re: H.A.V.E.
