Wus gud in da hood? - Jimbo Smitty - 12-21-2009 Hey, I'm Anthony, a.k.a. -ÃF- Jimbo Smitty â2.3, I've been busy lately with school, but now that I'm off I have more time for my games, and so I've been working through my games list for a little while now, I just got back into TF2, right in time for the war thankfully. I came about the server by chance actually, I went in game, checked my Favorites tab, and lo and behold, BRBU was one of two servers there. So I joined and enjoyed the custom maps, and the atmosphere of the server, so it will definately be one of my go-to servers. How I came to play TF2, and come to this server? Well, I'll start form the beginning I'm 19, so I started my gaming life with a SNES, and gradually moved up the ranks as time went by console-wise, until I was old enough (in my parents eyes) to use a computer, and thats where it all began. Once I began to get into computer gaming, I started off with CS:S and got pretty good, but then I started to get bored of playing with people who are always worse than me and my friends, so I tried looking for new games, I tried RTS, I tried RPG, and I tried sports/racing, but none really gave me the same feeling that FPS games did. Then I heard of TF2, once purchased, I was hooked, I couldn't stop playing. Then school and other parts of life started to catch up to me so I had to pack in the gaming for a while. When I got back into it I went back to my go-to game, CS:S, and TF2 kind of took a seat on the back burner. Once I got bored of CS:S again I turned to TF2, and it was good for a while. Then I learned of L4D2, and their promo offer for pre-ordering . So I got my hat and began playing even more, that is, until L4D2 was actually released, It consumed about 90% of my time spent on the computer, so once again TF2 took a seat on the bench. Now we come to about one week ago, where i got sick of teammates who didn't understand the concept... of a team.. so I triumphantly returned to TF2 once again, and hence, this server, and all is good . My desktop is a rig I built, i dont remember the specs but it does the job, I'm probably gonna either a)upgrade it or b)build a new one, not too sure, looking at how much money I got atm . My laptop is an MSI GX730 which I do most of my gaming on nowadays.. simply because i can do it infront of the TV I am really passionate about music, and I will listen to just about anything that isnt country music. I play a lot of sports, and like to have a good time, and I'm looking forward to seeing all of you out there hopefully. My steam account is jimbosmitty, feel free to add Re: Wus gud in da hood? - CaffeinePowered - 12-21-2009 +1 for a good intro, talk to Surf and Mission about music : Re: Wus gud in da hood? - Jimbo Smitty - 12-21-2009 awesome, sounds good, you wouldnt happen to know whethere or not there is a download pack for the map rotation? cause nothing is worse than waiting for the map to load, only to find that when you join your team has already pushed the cart half way and such things : / Re: Wus gud in da hood? - CaffeinePowered - 12-21-2009 (12-21-2009, 10:14 PM)Jimbo Smitty link Wrote: awesome, sounds good, Im working on a map pack doing a bit of winter cleaning, you can find everything here - http://brbuninstalling.com/maps_ftp/ Re: Wus gud in da hood? - Jimbo Smitty - 12-21-2009 wicked, thanks Re: Wus gud in da hood? - Neonie - 12-21-2009 (12-21-2009, 09:56 PM)Jimbo Smitty link Wrote: and I will listen to just about anything that isnt country music.
