I want this game so damn bad.
Been watching youtube vids on the damned thing. Every stage intro's a game intro reference. Was thoroughly surprised by stage three's in particular...I NEVER thought I'd ever hear any references to Adventures of Lolo ever again, since time seems to have forgotten that series. I'd talk about the retro warp zones, the numerous character unlockables from PC games and other things, but I think my following statement should sum it all up; it's like one big party thrown for fans old, tough 8-bit games who know their way around the block on the 'net. There was a lot of love shoved in here.
As for the game itself, the physics and controls are fairly tight and manageable, insofar as the demo on the 360 goes (though, make sure to get it on PC, specially since the level editor/portal's gonna be coming out in a month or so). But this is a game you want to make DAMN sure you have a gamepad for...you die enough -WITH- one. Still tons of fun, though...provided you've got the patience to go through some really diabiolical levels. And there's a LOOOOT of them. It's like...5 stages, with 20 levels packed in each, plus a final stage with 5 levels, plus an escape section. And that's just the light world, the dark world levels follow the same level format, but they're all new, and a LOT tougher. So really...NOT counting the warp zone retro stages, that's a little over 250 levels.
....damn.
Also, the soundtrack kicks so much ass, that it stomps the colons of kids in third-world countries.

As long as you solemnly pledge to buy this game at some point, grab the PC version off Demonoid to tide you over til you can dish out the appropriate amount of monies. I HIGHLY recommend a gamepad (hell, just plug your 360 controller in the USB) for this game, though. I shudder to even speculate playing this with a keyboard.
Anyway, I came by to drop THIS off for you guys, because this is awesome, and anyone who knows anything about growing up with video game commercials in the early 90's will KNOW why this is awesome.
