Rocket League - Squishy3 - 07-16-2015

Anybody else into this? Also console babbies (PS4 owners) it's one of the free PS+ games this week and it has cross-platform play, so if you have a PS4 and PS+ (Ianki, Surf, any other PS4 owners, I'm LOOKIN AT YOU)

- Indie dev making a MP-focused game that *isn't* part of the monstrosity that is F2P
- No microtransactions (which in most games, total upwards of $150)... you literally get EVERYTHING THIS GAME HAS TO OFFER for $20
- Skill-based, genuinely fun gameplay that isn't some re-hashed copy of something already successful

Yeah but go ahead and wait.  ???

$20 is a steal imo considering 10 years ago, this probably could have sold for $60 with all the other packaged games...

I have it on PS4 and I like it a lot. Barely in control trucks with rocket boosters all slamming into a giant soccer ball, brilliantly simple and addictive.

The problem is that even though it has cross platform play, there doesn't seem to be any cross platform party creation, so we could get matched together but I don't think we could ever make a team together. They say that it's in the works, but it might be a long time.

Get it on PC, play it at Max Settings @ 60 FPS... seems pretty simple to me. Especially if you haven't spent a cent on it on PS+... good games are worth supporting.

Not a half bad idea to wait a little actually, considering the servers are kinda swamped right now. Give 'em a bit of time to sort things out. Apparently the devs didn't think the game would end up this popular. :p

No, but you're guaranteed a drop every single match, and I'm sure they'll be adding more stuff to get in future updates/DLC since they said they have a planned paid DLC coming that adds 2 new cars and various other things. (And unlike Valve, they don't seem to be planning on going crates and keys Tongue) All future maps are planned to be free, as well.

It's hard to control the ball, but the game is so ridiculous it doesn't matter.

I like the drinking game idea Zaius.
