They did? I haven't really kept up with L4D updates for awhile, but so long as the basic formula is the same a tournament sounds pretty easy. Only problem is it's more luck than skill with that game which makes me sadpants.

Yea, its all "even" now with teams getting the tank at the same points and switching who goes first based on score....but it still has a lot of imbalances IMO. And they have fixed some exploits like what I mentioned above, I remember the tank was coming on no mercy, so we formed mecha-shiva in a closet with all auto-shottys....then the tank hit us through the wall

I think he might be talking about the escapist tourney?
We had a team...but a few people on the team were no shows constantly. Basically we won 2 matches and all went downhill from there.

I think he might be talking about the escapist tourney?
We had a team...but a few people on the team were no shows constantly. Basically we won 2 matches and all went downhill from there.
[/quote]There was a contest on the SteamPowered forums, mulch a novint employee, win a falcon. I think it was supposed to happen yesterday, dunno if it did or not

Well ok I was tired and combined two thoughts into one. I'd like to do this but am not going to make a team after the escapist tourney fudge up (Like Cbre88x said), and am rawrangry at the Novint Falcon thing but that's just because they were like 20 people away from me. *shrug*

What went to shit with the steam powered contest exactly?
I'm not someone to drop out, unless I magically get scheduled for work on a date where a tourny match happens. Seeing as I work at Target and they like to give 5-10 hour work weeks for part-timers during anytime that isn't the winter I don't see this happening though.
EDIT: are the teams you are on chosen at random or is this something where you can pick your team?

Yeah sorry for not posting it was open here but let me put it this way. I would have posted here after I posted for myself for the contest and I didn't get in. So no one else woulda anyway, ah well. They took frequent breaks (Did about 15 people in the first 7 hours, then rushed another 27 or so in the last 2). Sadly I know I would have won too, I play on an arena server with 4 of the winners and they are terribad, but the good(ish) news is that they'll hold another contest eventually, but as far as I can tell they'll most likely pick people to play using a random system instead of first one to post. Which -is- fairer to people who can't sit and camp at their computer for hours.
But who gives a shit about them. *waits for Wedge*

I'm going to assume they mean the obvious glitch spots such as the ones for crescendos in Dead Air (under the pipes after you light the gas tanks on fire) and No Mercy subway under the pipes. I'll probably go find somewhere to post/clarify later if it's still open when I care enough to do so.
