Vandams awesome video - Negate - 05-15-2008 http://vimeo.com/1017045 full of win. Re: Vandams awesome video - Surf314 - 05-15-2008 AKA what your missing if you aren't showing up for mod nights ;D Re: Vandams awesome video - HuckBerryGee - 05-15-2008 use the special snake! SNAAAAAKE! Re: Vandams awesome video - ScottyGrayskull - 05-15-2008 Hmmm... 20 minutes? Going to have to watch that later. :S Awesome from what I saw skimming though. Can't say I care for the music, but at least it's at a reasonable volume (unlike a lot of other videos people make like this). Re: Vandams awesome video - Fail Medic - 05-15-2008 I ate Cinnamon Toast Crunch while watching pirates, vikings and knights slaughter each other to a metal soundtrack. Best part of waking up. Ending Credits Snarling Dog was bestest part of whole movie!!!!!!11 That was a really long movie.. I don't envy how long it took to render that. If there's a next time, could it be sea shanties soundtrack time pls? Re: Vandams awesome video - Surf314 - 05-15-2008 Needs moar murder by death - dead men and sinners Re: Vandams awesome video - Vandamguy - 05-15-2008 thanks for the support fellas that snarling dog is my Ness. that flesh coloured tree trunk bent like a leg is Kor i had 80 minutes worth of source material, so to get it down to 27 minutes is ..pretty good. of course there will be a next time My favourite part is 12:03 where i kill exanimo with mind bullets. We're doing The hidden tonight you're a fag if you dont play mods. Re: Vandams awesome video - Geoff - 05-15-2008 "Adam Montreuil", do you have the part where I went and got 6 killz with the powder keg? It was fucking epic. There was also another part where I threw a keg into the elevator with Eschatos, right before the doors closed, trapping him in there. Re: Vandams awesome video - Vandamguy - 05-15-2008 i dont know about that elevator kill, i stopped recording about half way through the night Re: Vandams awesome video - Fail Medic - 05-21-2008 Vandamguy, could I trouble you for your setup on this? Like resolution you used when startmovieing, encoder, etc.? What did you feed Vimeo? Just curious. I'm feeding WeGame gigantic QuickTime movs to keep the quality up because anything else I try always winds up having huge (probably wrong term here) artifacting crap at some point that screws the pooch. My "Compactor Test": 408 MB .MOV upload to WeGame for 2:36 of footage. I'm doing something exceedingly wrong. I must be. REVEAL YOUR SECRETS. pls Re: Vandams awesome video - Eschatos - 05-21-2008 I watched the whole video, and never saw my name on the screen. I know I was there for most of the time. Was my name not showing up properly or something? Re: Vandams awesome video - Vandamguy - 05-22-2008 Failmedic: Happily , but i am going to use the industry speak no dumbed down talk You saw the programs i use ( i hope you watched the whole video ) from start to finish 1: record demo 2: open tf2 change resolution down to 640x480 ( i left the other settin's at high , like textures and lasers ) 3: play demo record movie ( usually i record them sequentially like 1 2 3 4 in game, then record the demo with a b c d. 4: runs the .tga's through Virtualdub.   4a: your choice here as to what codec you want to use to compress. In the pvk2 video i used the Divx 4core compression at this point because i needed more hard drive space in order to Image sequence all the shit i recorded. (you dont have to load the audio in)   4b: If you have the space, leave it as uncompressed video. (again you dont have to load the audio into the .avi if you dont want to. (the next step will just split them up anyways) 5: open up a new project in adobe premiere and load up your (hopefully uncompressed) video sources , and audio sources 6: cut and transition effect as nessecary ( you may notice that the preview video is a bit too big, resize it by clickin on the preview, and pushing up the corner, you will get some black bars at the top and bottom ( unavoidable ) i think they call it letterboxing ? .. 7: final encode. ( you will need to be using Adobe premiere at this point if you dont see some of the options i am talkin aboot ) flie> export> adobe media encoder 1: choice of codec, encoding in aaaaaauuuuuchhhhhhhdeeeeeeeeeee (that's the secret you've probably been looking for) h.264 2: select the preset "HDTV 720p 23.976 high quality" 3: silde your resolution down to 640x480 ( you cant slide resolution up , it gives some error.. so slide it down ? without error. o,O) 4: change FPS back to 29.997 , or 30.. whatever. 5: square pixels. so it dont get deformed 6: fuck with these sliders till you get desired file output size ( i was shootin for 500, the max vimeo lets you upload in a week ) 7: set keyframes to 30 ( i dont know why , vimeo told me to ) 8: change the BItrate on the audio to 128 , from 192 ( save some space ) thems my settins saves as an .mp4 i dont know if wegame will accept this format. i heart vimeo more than wegame though. Re: Vandams awesome video - copulatingduck - 05-22-2008 Hmmmm. Would be nice if someone could sticky this, that way we get fewer "How do I make a movie?" threads. Or someone make a proper post and that get stickied. Re: Vandams awesome video - Vandamguy - 05-22-2008 no u Re: Vandams awesome video - copulatingduck - 05-22-2008 lol Re: Vandams awesome video - Geoff - 05-22-2008 Its more like ACCCCCCCCCCCCHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE Re: Vandams awesome video - Fail Medic - 05-22-2008 I appreciate your post, Vandam. Thanks for the walkthrough! Re: Vandams awesome video - jorge - 05-23-2008 nice trivium Re: Vandams awesome video - Vandamguy - 05-23-2008 (05-23-2008, 02:55 AM)jorge link Wrote: nice triviumsmited go fuck yourself i usually don't listen to lyrics in a song, or try to interpret what they mean if i do understand what they are saying. which is why i didnt vote on anything in the "class/server song" gong show threads. Which ultimately was a waste of time i like to listen to people singing , but more like the throat is an instrument rather than someone speaking. so even if he's shouting and i cant understand what he's saying, as long as he's shouting good I rock on Re: Vandams awesome video - jorge - 05-24-2008 (05-23-2008, 07:48 PM)Vandamguy link Wrote: smitedIt's an honor. 8) |
