Any Interest for a Stickam Room? - Evil Cheese - 10-18-2008
Let's hear it. Do we already have too many community chat rooms we don't utilize enough as it is? Do we have room for one more? Should it be private or public? Would anyone actually use it?
Stickam
It's sort of like Ventrillo except you can use web cams for a video feed as well. Usually someone registers a room and then people can join in and chat. You can set rooms to public or private which requires a password before they can join. It also features text chat as well. The only downside is that there are only twelve (I think) slots for people to use web cams, the rest can only use text.

I'm going to say there is no need for it. It's a cool idea, but I think irc is sufficient. Doesn't require a camera, speakers, or nearly as much attention/focus as stickam or even vent does.
Mind you, if people want to hang out on Stickam at specific times I'd say go for it, but I'm pretty sure there won't be much sustained interest.

I don't believe in webcams, at work or otherwise. The temptation to start waving mini-Budr around has always proven to be too great to resist.

We already have a vent server, wut would be the point of that?
Also I don't have a webcam, so I've no interest in Stickam.
