My history professor is Charlie Day's character from It's Always Sunny 45 years later.  He's crazy, he's Italian, and he has a lot to say.

I'm looking forward to returning to college after four years of getting myself stable financially. Sure it's only one class, but gotta start somewhere.

Is it true that going in for your generals just to see what you want to do is a good idea? I mean sounds like a gamble.

It's not a bad idea, but it's always better to know what you're interested in prior to starting so you can schedule to graduate as fast as possible.

Also, turns out I have a class with this guy.

In my first year I nailed down a broad range of distro requirements; I knew what I wanted to major in but wasn't sure about minors or other interests. Worked out for me; I settled on a chemistry minor and eventually a humanities minor on top of that. It's not a gamble if you're exploring subjects within the scope of some pre-existing requirement.

Also all set for my final quarter of classes. A lab class, bioethics, a latin roots class that's 100% self-study, auditing a chemistry course, and my research.

It's only a gamble if you decide not to finish your degree. Pick classes that will transfer to other colleges and other tradeschools, as opposed to merely ones which will transfer to different departments of the same university.

Also tell them you're not going to be around on ACEN weekend :V
