I'll let you know then He's from Europe so his release date isn't till friday sometime. Also post each other's Gamespy ID's so we can add each others as friends. Mine is KorJax1 (because for whatever reason it wouldn't let me have my main name and made me rename). Re: Borderlands - 10/26/2009 - K2 - 10-26-2009 So I come back from class at 5:00 ready to play this, and it turns out my power adapter is dead and my computer only has half an hour of battery left. Luckily my roommate has a laptop with the same adapter, so I can borrow his occasionally until my new one comes in at the end of the week, but still. Fuck that. It's almost becoming a buy for me considering how people rave about this game. Re: Borderlands - 10/26/2009 - Greatbacon - 10-26-2009 Gamespy ID: greatbacon Initial Reaction: So far I've put in about an hour and half in on both singleplayer and co-op. Singleplayer is not bad, until you get your first real gun it feels a little underwhelming, and initially ammo seems a bit scarce, but eventually it starts falling rather liberally. Story isn't really there, but the shooting isn't bad, and there aren't too many kill ten rats kind of missions. Co-op though has been quite fun. Ammo is a little scarcer here, monsters are tougher and more plentiful, but all in all it's a good time, especially hearing Caff rave about his fire pistol. Pew pew pew. Also, as far as intersting, kind of wtf guns go, I've found a shotgun with a not bad scope, and an SMG with a scope better than any sniper rifle I've found in the game. Would we all rather have separate multiplayer characters that only get played when we're together? Or does the difference in game level and progress not matter as much? I'd rather we have separate characters that would stay roughly the same level and around the same areas in terms of game progress. What say you? Re: Borderlands - 10/26/2009 - Squishy3 - 10-26-2009 Pretty sure based on impressions from my friends who got it on 360 that closer level characters are best for co-op. Re: Borderlands - 10/26/2009 - Eschatos - 10-26-2009 This game is awesome. So many different weapons, and they actually play differently, not just minor changes. <3 transfusion grenades, hunting shotguns, and SMGs. Also I have a lvl 3 purple SMG if anyone wants it. It's a guaranteed drop but if you've been playing co op then only one person gets it. I'm thinking I'll have separate single player and multiplayer characters, depending on how far people have gotten. Right now I have a lvl 15 Roland, and that's it. I'll definitely be open for co-op tomorrow. Re: Borderlands - 10/26/2009 - CaffeinePowered - 10-26-2009 GSID: CaffeinePowered Make sure all of you are.... A) Using Ventrilo B) Disabling in game voice C) Enabling Vsync The latter two are options in the engine config file under My Documents> My Games > Borderlands > CFG Re: Borderlands - 10/26/2009 - KorJax - 10-26-2009 Why? I'd rather not have to download vent Also starting a different character just for multiplayer will be a bitch, especailly timing wise between players of the co-op. I mean, the first 10 levels are HELLA slow and trudging through those again with a different char will bore me to tears :'( Not to mention, how exactly will we make sure no one plays unless everyone else plays? On that note I haven't tried co-op yet. |
