It is basically condensed essence of crime caper in every single damn episode. They took the formula and instead of running from it they perfected it and presented it straight into your eyeballs in all it's cliche glory. You got the tech guy who is black, funny, hip AND nerdy with a lot of attitude because why not get the most from your character. You got the sexy british love interest grifter. You got the absolutely batshit insane cat burglar who is also hot. You got the martial arts expert badass who hates guns, kicks the shit out of scary serbians with kitchen utensils like it aint no thang, and he has a secret heart of gold because you know character economy again. Then to top it all off the leader is the goody goody everyman sympathetic character with a mechanical mind and an alcohol problem and a troubled past. Because of that character economy thing again. Did I mention it was fucking awesome? Well if you aren't convinced yet the main character busts car windows on a whim because he CAN, and he is the good one. [/quote] Not to be a contrarian or nothing, but leverage is kinda, well, watered down. I highly recommend you watch Hustle, which is basically the british show that leverage takes most of it's cues from and comes out being better written and a more "fun, enjoyable, con artist/heist program that is both witty and enjoyable for the whole family" - quote me just now. Though, this is really based on the first three series, and select good episodes from series 4 and 5. Also, Modern Family and Community are two of the best new sitcoms on television this season. I highly recommend you give both these shows a chance. I can't believe how well written they are. Also again, Spaced just had it's 10 year anniversary, and if any of you nerdy guys haven't watched it yet then i'm highly disappointed in you. The deadliest warrior is the best show in the universe! It's entertaining, educational and violent. Re: Favorite TV Shows - Radio Raheem - 05-26-2010 lol deadliest warrior is about as informative as manswers. with that said it kinda owns Re: Favorite TV Shows - copulatingduck - 05-26-2010 I think you meant Most Extreme Elimination Challenge... Re: Favorite TV Shows - Radio Raheem - 05-26-2010 plus the reenacted fights are so lame everyone knows the viking would crush everyone else and some idiot who played the viking kinda sucked so he looked like a pussy show is bad and clearly wrong Re: Favorite TV Shows - PyroZombie - 05-26-2010 I actually doubt the Viking. He's untrained, unskilled, his only pros are his strength and the fear we associate with them. The Samurai, however, has training skill, cunning and speed, a fatal combination. Re: Favorite TV Shows - PyroZombie - 05-26-2010 Yeah, I know they have A javelin but it was also used as a gutting weapon, not simply thrown, the ballista and that chakram are purely projectile. Not the Centurion himself, The Centurion was the head of the Centuries, a single-person leading and training them, the best out of them all. Rajput are trained similarly, but it was the strategy type to kill them, they were both armies, but one relied on the army more than the other on his own skills. I was really surprised actually that the Rajput actually won, but if you imply the logic of the strategy, it does make sense since the Rajput are individually trained in weapon-use and fighting style by fathers who have comeback from battle (from birth I believe they said), while Roman Centuries are trained by one man on a scale of 80 per Centurion, of course, better results would be coming from the birth-warriors who are taught by the warriors that made it back. Re: Favorite TV Shows - beep beep diglett - 05-26-2010 thats what im saying, you cant have ww2 heavy machine gunner versus ww2 russian commando because the mg is part of a squad and doesnt really wont on its own, same with any roman unit basically |
