Watched Se7en on a ghetto-fabulous projection setup.
Freaky as all heck. Then, 30 minutes from the end, one of my friends gets up and leaves.
When the movie ends, I hear this "Blaaraharaaaaa!!" and then an "aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh, holy shit, holee shiiiiiiitt!"
My friend who was most against watching a freaky movie almost pissed his pants.

Also,
Freakonomics is a really really inconsistent documentary.  Morgan Spurlock's segment was just awful and was put first, but the second segment on cheating in sumo wrestling was just fantastic, like beyond well done.

Saw "Takers"

Not terrible, not bad. Classic Chase.

Re: The Movie Thread - KarthXLR - 01-30-2011

Omg, The Great Race was awesome.

The Great Race Pie Fight

God of Pie fights.

I like the last line that Rooster said. Gave closure to his character in a subtle way.

"I have become old."

Just watched Capitalism: A Love Story. I enjoyed it quite a bit. Really well put-together.

Rewatched Princess Mononoke with some friends (in English).
One had already seen it, one absolutely loved it (because he's become some uber-green lets all stop burning gasoline thing), one thought it was too predictable, one wanted to play videogames and wouldn't shut up, and the other didn't really like it and also wouldn't shut up. The last person liked it but didn't say any more than that.

I posted that I'd seen it on Facebook and a random Subaru-friend liked it, and it turns out he's a huge fan (and he happens to have a gray/orange crowbar that says "Black Mesa something institute" on it).

He recommended Memories and Grave of the Fireflies. Are these worth seeing? I'm not much of an anime guy other than Miyazaki.

Goddamn Grave of the Fireflies. Left me in a depressive funk for a good two days. It's very good, watch it.

Yep, the recommender warned me about that. He said only "the rest of the day" though.

Re: The Movie Thread - EarthlingJohn - 02-20-2011

Watched how to train your pet dragon again. Still as awesome as the first time :v
