Re: Dwarf Fortress - Chaosye - 09-03-2009 Does this spell the end of Blindbeer? Only days after the creation of the great brewery? If someone is going to take the next spot, be my guest, I don't really care if you're next on rotation or not. Re: Dwarf Fortress - Sponson - 09-05-2009 I don't want to do it because its not interesting because no one would do any story telling. I wouldn't feel like I'm adding anything awesome if I did do the next rotation. but I suppose I could play one year also: My last major fortress had 2 stills running, and they ended up making 4700 dranks. error crash Missing Item Definition: Item_Gloves_Heavygauntlet Re: Dwarf Fortress - Chaosye - 09-05-2009 arrrgh Eschatos how did you fix this problem before redownload the file and see if that helps Re: Dwarf Fortress - Neonie - 09-08-2009 can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong with designations? I go into Designations and I press "t" to select "chop wood". Then I press "enter" so they do it but no ones job changes and I remain with 6 idlers. What the hell am I doing wrong? What the hell am I doing wrong? Are you clicking it twice and spreading the designation over an area that has trees? Do you have any axes? Do you have dwarves with the woodcutting job enabled? To check that either go and press u to open up the units menu and then check each dwarf for their jobs, or press v and go to whatever dwarf it is and change it. If you hit "v", hover over a dwarf, hit "p" and then "l" you can toggle jobs. Re: Dwarf Fortress - Neonie - 09-08-2009 Everything for me is running pretty smoothly now that I have the basics down. However you guys may be amused to know I accidentally built a room full of down stair cases instead of floor Re: Dwarf Fortress - Chaosye - 09-09-2009 Also is anyone going to continue the bloodline? ANYONE AT ALL Also neonie, remember to make beds and workshops and stuff And farms, especially Where did you embark anyway? Like near a river or in a mountain or something Re: Dwarf Fortress - Neonie - 09-09-2009 I've embarked about 6 different times now, doing a little better and learning a little more each time. And ya now I know to make beds, I've been looking into farms and harvesting bushes, fishing and what not, I just learned that I could make my own starting dwarfs which is REALLY helpful since I did NOT need that jeweler fag. I also just learned you could build underground. I always try to make my place with both trees and above ground mining facility's. This game is like The Sims for SMART people : Re: Dwarf Fortress - Sponson - 09-09-2009 Curse the friends of nature!
