Re: The Movie Thread - fyre - 05-14-2009 http://io9.com/5254962/the-road-trailer-plays-like-terrible-roland-emmerich-thrill-ride Really looking forward to this. The footage in the trailer looks good. Kinda lame generic trailer editing though. Ugh...I hate replying to myself. Re: The Movie Thread - fyre - 05-15-2009 Space nazis attack! Iron Sky teaser 720P HD It's made by Finns. And I reply to myself yet again. Re: The Movie Thread - copulatingduck - 05-15-2009 more nazis: http://io9.com/5125082/best-zombie-nazi-fight-scene-in-history Re: The Movie Thread - Squishy3 - 05-15-2009 Just watched Death Race. Despite the average reviews, I enjoyed it. Fast cars, one amazingly hot girl, etc. Also Jason Statham is ripped. Re: The Movie Thread - Ianki - 05-18-2009 my favorite 3 minutes of footage ever filmed. La Saraghina Re: The Movie Thread - fyre - 05-19-2009 Sherlock Holmes Trailer [HD] *NEW* gotohellguyritchieyousuck I'll still watch this this though. It could be incredible. But between that trailer and the fact that Holmes won't use cocaine because Ritchie wants this to be appropriate for "families", I'm thinking it will suck. Re: The Movie Thread - Surf314 - 05-19-2009 WTF? I dont know whether to be angry or excited. [/quote] I dunno, it just seems like such a major part of Holmes character, and the removal of it just so the film can get a PG-13 rating doesn't sit well with me. I hate PG-13ification in general. It's a bit like if Fox decided to have House stop using Vicodin so the show would be "family-appropriate". Except this is worse because Holmes is a much richer, more established character than House. It seems like an indication that Ritchie doesn't really give a shit about the original stories and just wants to do his own thing while still taking advantage of the place the Holmes character has in popular culture. I would love to be proven wrong though, because I love Holmes and I love Downey. And I have to admit Ritchie is good at what he does, I just don't think he's right for this. But I really do want this to be good. Re: The Movie Thread - KarthXLR - 05-19-2009 Watched "The Elephant Man" today. Itsa' sad movie. Re: The Movie Thread - KarthXLR - 05-21-2009 Just watched the 1954 version of The Man Who Knew Too Much God, what a fantastic movie. I've been meaning to give it a try for a while, but I've never gotten around to it. Re: The Movie Thread - Surf314 - 05-21-2009 It's good if you are in the mood for it. It's not in your face humor and it's not fast paced. But if you are used to watching foreign and indie films you should love it (about the same pacing). You can also catch the foreign version: "The man who knew too leetle" Re: The Movie Thread - HeK - 05-21-2009 I see your movie and raise you The Wrong Guy. The Wrong Guy trailer (1997) Re: The Movie Thread - fyre - 05-22-2009 http://www.avclub.com/articles/hotly-anticipated-bazooka-joe-movie-gets-a-screenw,28362/?utm_source=newswire_listing Ooookay then. Re: The Movie Thread - KarthXLR - 05-22-2009 Also, my sister forced me to watch "What's New Pussycat?" with her. It was actually pretty funny. I....I recommend it. :o Re: The Movie Thread - fyre - 05-22-2009 If The Man Who Knew Too Much was your sister's idea too, then she is officially cool.
