Just because I don't hail The Godfather as one of the greatest movies of all time, that automatically makes me a dumbass about everything film-related? Grow up! I said a liked the film a lot. By my standards, that's a great watch, and incredibly influential film, similar to that of Citizen Kane or even some of Alfred Hitchcock's films. The cast was great and so was the dialogue. But I don't think it's perfect. Personally, I think Apocalypse Now is Coppola's best film. But hey, screw opinions, only retards have those.
No you grow up, we're only messing, it's our opinion that The Godfather was the fucking baaaaaaawls. You didn't really fail the exam, the REAL exam is watching ALL the land before times in one sitting. Now it's shit like "Littlefoots big gloryhole adventure," and frankly, that's a little too highbrow for me to enjoy. Re: The Movie Thread - Squishy3 - 04-09-2011 You know what was a good movie? Iron Giant. Then I remember flipping out when the most recent Duck Dodgers series did an Iron Giant episode. I should rewatch that series. It was too fucking good. Red Dragon - Really liked it. Being a prequel to silence of lambs, I was worried it wouldn't be as good. But, I'd say it was just as good, although it played it safe.
Cool. In my durpyness, I realized I didn't post the other movies I watched. City Lights- Average Chaplin fare. Kind of disappointed that it wasn't as funny as modern times or the circus. Robin Hood: Men in Tights - Great Mel Brooks movie, but not one of his best. Started off too slow. Re: The Movie Thread - Dave - 04-10-2011 Watched Akira, you weeabos got something right for once. Re: The Movie Thread - Totla - 04-10-2011 Watched Black Swan with some friends. It had some pretty good mindfucks and was a great movie overall. Also lesbians. EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERP. While it's been awhile since I've seen it (Umm... 7 years?), it's likely my FAVOURITE Brooks movie. Though that's a tough call with Spaceballs. I should maybe give it a modern viewing to see if it holds up, but I'd be surprised if it didn't. Re: The Movie Thread - EarthlingJohn - 04-11-2011 Just watched Tangled. I really liked it. It had the Classic Disney movie feel, with a new look to it (3D and wutnot). I was pleasantly surprised. Watch it with a niece or something though, otherwise it might look creepy.
