I am also working on buying a company in Greece and getting an Import license for U.S. and selling the iron to u.s to make weapons.
I live in greece

Since it'd be a new q1 company I'd probably hire level 0 workers for a bit above whatever the current highest price is. If anyone from BRB wanted a job I'm sure I could accommodate them for what their worth. But I need to get about 20 more gold.

I meant:

Didiot

Quote:IMPORTANT: USA JOB MARKET UNDER ATTACK. YOU CAN RESIGN IMMEDIATELY IF THE COMPANY CAN'T PAY YOU OR HAS NO RAW MATERIALS

Russian, Indonesian and Hungarian controlled companies in the eUSA are posting job offers for inflated prices when they have no raw materials or currency to pay salaries.

As an example: http://www.erepublik.com/en/company/iweapon-193773
iWeapon is a Russian controlled company with only 2 units of iron. It is offering salaries completely inflated out of the market in order to lure the unwary to work there. YOU CAN RESIGN IMMEDIATELY IF THE COMPANY CAN'T PAY YOU OR HAS NO RAW MATERIALS

These companies target Skill 0 and Skill 1 players that do not know better. If you are working for such a company, RESIGN IMMEDIATELY. Before taking a job offer, look into the company. Does it have a stock of goods?
Does it have raw materials to make goods (for const. & Manu comps)?
Does the salary appear to be "too good to be true" when compared to others in the market?
Does the company have more than 10-20 job offerings posted?
Does the company have more than 10-20 employees making it highly inefficient?

THEN IT PROBABLY IS A TRAP.

Re: erepublik - Chaosye - 09-02-2009

I've read that, but the company seems like it has a ton of raw materials to use, and are also selling their products, but i'll find out about currency when I work the first day

Not to mention the level 20+ people working there every day.

Re: erepublik - Surf314 - 09-03-2009

W00T, got 5 gold from wyrm and sent it minus a ticket to the organization. We've got 7.5 towards a new company! Also I'm thinking about giving some of you more active players that want to own and manage companies the password so we can keep it all under one roof. But there are some things we gotta work out as far as keeping things fair. I think I need to start keeping track of what everyone has donated.....

Re: erepublik - Surf314 - 09-03-2009

OK so I has a bit of a plan....Tell me what you guys think.

I bought this company and it is a bit of a dud because I didn't realize how big of a hit in production you get with only a medium resource region (50% doh!) but.....it has like $280 in it's account. So here is what I am thinking. I had to lower all the wages because people were losing me money everytime they worked so people are quitting. Why don't you guys that can work fill these jobs? I will raise your wage to the best you can get for your skill and we will gradually use up this $280. Everytime we lose $50-$60 I will drop the offer for the company by 1 gold. Then we still end up breaking even it just goes into your pockets instead of being lost. And maybe when someone does buy it they don't catch the wages right away and we come out a bit ahead. What does everyone think?
