I've taken a lot of "history of photography" classes, and have never even had these MENTIONED to me. Pretty astounding stuff. This comes from way back when Russia was actually useful.

Those are some amazing photos. Some of them remind me of the pictures of my parents, children in the Netherlands in the early 1940's.
Blue eyes for me, too. Booooring. But you should see my dad's. It's like he's literally looking right through you and they're so bright...

This is just an educated guess, but it looks like the colors were exposed separately at the time and the camera was not properly mounted so one or two of the colors ended up being a little off. Also I love the big picture.

The coolest part is the water. Since he had some control over everything else most of his photos look normal, but the water ripples no matter what so the pictures of non-glassy water is a barrage of color.
