It has the actor who played him as the villain. Not for the faint of heart though. Re: The Movie Thread - Stein - 09-17-2011 Just got all of Full Metal Alchemist from a classmate, and watched the movie today. It was pretty good, but it took me a while to figure out wtf was going on. (08-19-2011, 05:30 PM)Karth link Wrote: Watched Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind. Pretty good Miyazaki flick, lots of cool creature designs. The American dub is terribad though, stick with Japanese. No kidding. Love this movie though. I enjoyed it but I didnt think it was as good as res dogs or kill bill. Re: The Movie Thread - kaese - 09-18-2011 Saw The Lion King 3D today and it was a experience. Some child was bawling for 10 minutes at the Mufasa's death scene while I shed manly tears of nostalgia. The only people who actually sang along to the songs were people over 10 years of age funny enough. Re: The Movie Thread - Maxon - 09-19-2011 Watched a movie called "The Dead" tonight.  One of those road journey survival flicks, this one about zombies, set in Africa with an American engineer trying to get to saftey.  It's kinda like the Road if it had zombies, with alot more cinematography of the landscape and everything, not a ton of dialogue for the most part.  So if your wanting abit more serious survival story, this might be worth checking out.  The only problem I had with it is how pathetic the zombies are.  After how many years it's been since Night of the Living Dead, why do people want to go back to the almost boring looking shamblers...barely even shamblers, sometimes they were just shuffling.  Maybe that was just poor direction on part of the director.  I'm not asking for sprinters or anything, but you could escape these zombies by just walking.  That's not terrifying or threatening at all and doesn't give me the feeling that these things would be able to take over anything.  Sure, they have numbers, but impossibly sluggish zombies are just a pet peeve of mine. Re: The Movie Thread - KarthXLR - 09-19-2011 Rewatched The Prestiege with Spm and other roommate. Was good times! But now as a product you actually have to pay for it needs to stand up on its own. [/quote]Well maybe that will happen when the companies decide to stop being assholes after seeing how many views on their stuff Netflix gets and want to charge ridiculous prices for their stuff. Seriously, Starz walked out of the negotiation because Netflix wanted to barter down the price. Then they announced that their stuff would expire on February 28, 2012 the same day Netflix announces their price increases because they wanted to humiliate Netflix. My family already has a streaming account, so me and the roommates can cut costs by just using our account. Re: The Movie Thread - spm201 - 09-20-2011 Price hikes and less convenience. Not a fan. On a side note, watched Kelly's Heroes tonight. Liked it. Re: The Movie Thread - A. Crow - 09-21-2011 Watched Green Street Hooligans tonight, was pretty good, even if Elijah Wood can no longer act. Now we're going to be singing "I'm forever blowing bubbles" out on missions, I just know it. |
