The art style fits perfectly, because ray guns were round and covered in strange antennae long before a steampunk cosplay manufacturer hijacked the 'look', which happened what, like two years ago? Because steampunk lasers? Are you even listening to yourselves? basically this Re: Updates of the Week (ongoing discussion) - Eschatos - 07-23-2011 (07-23-2011, 12:04 PM)Moosendoo link Wrote:
Yeah, laser weapons certainly don't fit in with teleporters, sentry guns, and wranglers. ... and this. :-\ Personally, I think old-school futuristic laser weapons fit in perfectly with the art style. I wouldn't mind if they toned down the particle effects though.
The art style was destroyed when hats came out. Just look at the dev commentary on TF2. Get over it. Re: Updates of the Week (ongoing discussion) - Spore - 08-03-2011 The new Quake Rocket Launcher looks so amazing. Holy shit. Re: Updates of the Week (ongoing discussion) - backfire - 08-04-2011 Oh god I need this. What do I buy? Re: Updates of the Week (ongoing discussion) - Maxon - 08-04-2011 Is the Pip-Boy given to those who already have one of the Fallout's or something or has it not been actually given out yet? Definitely the coolest of the items they updated today, since I heard it might replace the PDA, but I'm not holding out for that lol *EDIT* I guess it's for the upcoming DLC or possibly a GOTY edition? I hope it's given to those that have the game already. As much as I want it, I'm not buying the same game twice for it. Gearbox did the same thing with the Borderlands GotY edition with the Duke Nukem Forever earily access key. Gave it to current Borderlands owners, then gave it to anyone who got the goty version afterwards. |
