(Business Travel Thread) - Azure_Angel - 05-21-2012 Heading to El Paso on Thursday to be a camera operator on an unnamed MTV project. Re: Re: Where in the world is..... (Business Travel Thread) - HeK - 05-22-2012 Sitting in the airport, waiting for my flight to Yellowknife, NWT. I'll be 100 miles from the arctic circle. Since there are no railroads and the only trucking route has melted, I can only guess at how expensive it will be there. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2 Re: Re: Where in the world is..... You really pissed someone off, didn't you? They actually sent you to radar station near the arctic Re: Re: Where in the world is..... I've always wanted to visit somewhere that far up north. Re: Re: Where in the world is..... (Business Travel Thread) - HeK - 05-22-2012 So its 15 degrees here, with snow and ice on the lakes. Sun doesn't even fully set. I know that I shouldn't expect any cell coverage, but I was not expecting this result: Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2 Re: Re: Where in the world is..... Land and building materials are scarce so houses are extremely expensive. A trailer in a park is above $300k. I saw a literal shed with an Escalade parked outside. Homes that are actual buildings are in disrepair. There are more people living in tents then at an Occupy camp, only these guys are possibly employed. Oh, and its almost 10pm and the sun is still 30 degrees above the horizon. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2 Re: Where in the world is..... (Business Travel Thread) - rumsfald - 05-23-2012 Can you take pics? Re: Re: Where in the world is..... (Business Travel Thread) - HeK - 05-23-2012 I am as I drive around. I am here to work so most of my day is limited to working indoors, no phones or cameras allowed. I saw a couple of the drivers from the show Ice road Truckers at the Tim Horton's no pics as I was on my way into work. I'll have to wait until I get home to upload photos as I get dial up upload speed from the hotel. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2 Re: Where in the world is..... (Business Travel Thread) - rumsfald - 05-23-2012 Excellent. I want to see the Escalade Shed go viral on reddit. Re: Where in the world is..... (Business Travel Thread) - A. Crow - 05-23-2012 someone would probably launch an overly zealous and completely too convincing argument that it's a fake and destroy HeK's life in the process. Re: Re: Where in the world is..... (Business Travel Thread) - HeK - 05-23-2012 Got pictures of the shack, but the escalade was absent. Took a tour of Tim Cochrane's inspirational Ragged Ass road.
