Re: Pyro Thread - For Reflecting Silly Projectiles at Drunks and Unskilled Soldiers - backfire - 05-23-2010 The crit's still messed up with me. I can snipe a heavy from the right door of badwater's blu spawn to the tall rock on the cliff and not get a crit. I think it's that it doesn't take in to account vertical distance. Though, I started using the flaregun again... OH GOD HOW MUCH I MISSED THIS THING! Re: Pyro Thread - For Reflecting Silly Projectiles at Drunks and Unskilled Soldiers - Hobospartan - 05-23-2010 We've been over this, Valve is nerfing you. Don't want you getting an unfair advantage Re: Pyro Thread - For Reflecting Silly Projectiles at Drunks and Unskilled Soldiers - backfire - 05-23-2010 (05-23-2010, 06:26 PM)Hobospartan link Wrote: We've been over this, Valve is nerfing you. Don't want you getting an unfair advantage Explains why those rockets sometimes seems to just teleport right from the rocket launcher to my face though. Re: Pyro Thread - For Reflecting Silly Projectiles at Drunks and Unskilled Soldiers - PyroZombie - 05-26-2010 I'm going to say that is awesome but good job to karf on getting the KGB. I lost count of how many ubers I threw off the cliff....its incredibly satisfying to not just ruin an uber with an airblast, but to throw it into a death put and get credit now because they started counting deaths you caused by environmental hazards with the airblast. That's actually the only quad kill I've seen in TF2 with one projectile at all. Ive seen several rarer tripple kills with a crit rocket/sticky/pipe, and Ive never seen a tripple with a reflected projectile either. Re: Pyro Thread - For Reflecting Silly Projectiles at Drunks and Unskilled Soldiers - Kirby - 05-27-2010 I was providing airblast shielding to a friendly solly trying to peg a demo from some high ground on coldfront last night, he was slightly behind me and to my right. I reflect this mad accurate pipe that was about to punch me in the face, and hear 2 reflect swooshes. I watch the pipe fly out and miss him, but the solly fired a rocket at the same time as I reflected that pipe. Then the rocket hits him and he blows up, and I get a reflect kill. ??? So I'm p. sure I've figured out why this (reflecting allied projectiles, this is not the 1st time I've done it) is happening. It would make total (Valve) sense if my theory is correct on why this happens. I think if a friendly projectile is spawned *inside* the airblast 'bubble' at the exact same time another enemy projectile is being repo'ed, the engine simply goes durrrhurrrrr and gives the pyro ownership of both. Re: Pyro Thread - For Reflecting Silly Projectiles at Drunks and Unskilled Soldiers - Radio Raheem - 05-27-2010 so let me get this straight. you missed your shot completely yet stole the soldiers perfect shot and got the credit? god i hate pyros Re: Pyro Thread - For Reflecting Silly Projectiles at Drunks and Unskilled Soldiers - PyroZombie - 05-27-2010 (05-27-2010, 12:59 PM)Tim link Wrote: so let me get this straight. you missed your shot completely yet stole the soldiers perfect shot and got the credit? No matter what direction a rocket was traveling before it gets airblasted, it goes exactly where the pyro's crosshair is pointing. So yeah, the pipe went flopping into the ground a few feet away, where it would have if a demoman fired it at a horizontal level, not lobbed up. I don't try to hit people with their own shit every time I reflect it, stopping it is what I'm going for. Re: Pyro Thread - For Reflecting Silly Projectiles at Drunks and Unskilled Soldiers - beep beep diglett - 05-27-2010 tim do you use direct hit at all? cuz ive been using it for a while and i think its probably better than the original rocket launcher unless you get kritzed, but im not the pro scrim player so whats your opinion |
