I see people with a hurt expression all the time- I don't usually expect them to be masked crimefighters, though.
Re: The Movie Thread - Coelit - 07-26-2012 I liked Rises and thought it was on par or dare I say better then the previous. People need to stop nitpicking. Again. Re: The Movie Thread - KarthXLR - 07-28-2012 Three Colors: Blue was sad throughout the entire feature. It's one of those movies. Good, though I wish more stuff happened in it. It's not like the fucking Resident Evil movies, or the other plethora of bad video game movies. Dungeon Siege, Bloodrayne, etc. Excluding Super Mario Bros., because that was amazing. I'm going to see it just to spite you, Merc. Because if they keep making video game movies like this instead of the other bad examples that I gave, I'm all for it. It could be much, much worse. Plus Sean Bean and Kit Harington. They have good actors. And I'm going to see it; I'm just expecting to be bitterly disappointed like I was with Max Payne.
we already had a shadow of the colossus movie Shadow of the Colossus / Reign Over Me Re: The Movie Thread - matter11 - 07-28-2012 Saw human centipede 2. If you enjoyed the first one I'd recommend it. It's has a significantly higher amount of torture porn than the first one did but shooting in black and white gave it the sharp artistic look that blood has in B/W. Just like the first one, the movie promises shocking images and delivers but is entirely carried by the performance of the villain. Both films did a fantastically phenomenal job with casting their respective villains and each are worlds apart from one another in terms of personality, lifestyle, and motivation. This isn't really a spoiler but the premise of the film is that a disturbed man (putting it lightly) becomes obsessed with the first film and carries it out. Re: The Movie Thread - Mission Difficult - 07-30-2012 Just saw The Batman. Liked it. Would have been better if Patrick Stewart directed it... It seemed like they could have taken the processing down a notch though. Re: The Movie Thread - zaneyard - 07-30-2012 So how about the new superman movie? story by Nolan. Kinda got me in the mood to start watching Smallville again. Re: The Movie Thread - KarthXLR - 07-31-2012 Jackie Brown was alright, way too slow for my own personal tastes. Re: The Movie Thread - Azure_Angel - 07-31-2012 An unexpected journey I wet myself a little... Re: The Movie Thread - zaneyard - 08-04-2012 So I went to go see the amazing spider man last night and it exceeded my expectations greatly. I found myself accidentally clenching my hands into a fist often throughout the movie because of how intense it was. Re: The Movie Thread - KarthXLR - 08-06-2012 Spartacus was pretty impressive. It's got all the things an epic should have: huge cast, massive battles, ladies, and one hell of a score. Apparently it was fairly controversial at the time of release as well, a few scenes alluding to homosexuality were cut during the original release.
