Re: The Movie Thread - Didzo - 09-19-2012 The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey Trailer Re: The Movie Thread - rumsfald - 09-19-2012 That's a great trailer. Converting Tolkien to film will never please everybody. But god-damn, Peter Jackson does a fine job in bringing some of these visions to life. Re: The Movie Thread - VeraLapsa - 09-22-2012 (09-10-2012, 01:59 AM)Mission Difficult link Wrote: Saw Raiders of the Lost Arc in IMAX tonight. Pretty cool if you're a fan or have somehow avoided seeing it your entire life. Picture was pretty good but the biggest improvement I noticed was the score. They're doing all four movies in a row next weekend, not sure if it's a local thing or nationwide. I went and took my parents to see it since they never saw it in theater when it came out. It was great and the sound upmix to 7.1 was pretty good to although I wish movie theaters would turn down the volume by 5-10db, every movie I've been to lately has hurt my ears. Re: The Movie Thread - KarthXLR - 09-22-2012 Saw Dredd and The Master yesterday. Dredd was dumb but had its moments Everyone should see The Master. Still not sure if I like it better than There Will be Blood yet. Re: The Movie Thread - Maxon - 09-23-2012 Loved Dredd. Great action, abit heavy with some CGI blood and slow motion, but I thought it was just a great time. One of the better action flicks I've seen in awhile. Started off pretty good, cool sets, nice action sequences, interesting story. They even cast Paul Dano! But then they wrote him out almost immediately. 0/10 wouldn't watch again
In all seriousness, it was a pretty good movie. Check it out.
And if you like that, watch 12 Monkeys! Basically the same concept about time travel.

Re: The Movie Thread - Hobospartan - 10-02-2012 (10-02-2012, 08:43 PM)Karth link Wrote: Saw Looper. I have
12 Monkeys
sitting on my shelf, I've been meaning to watch it forever. This may have motivated me to actually put it in my bluray player. Re: The Movie Thread - Maxon - 10-02-2012 Watched the Dark Knight Returns: Part 1 and liked it. Can't compare it with the comic it's based off of as I don't remember it, but I thought it was pretty good. Looking forward to Part 2. Re: The Movie Thread - Mission Difficult - 10-03-2012 Probably gonna check out Looper tomorrow. In the mean time I'm watching The Running Man. Captain Freedom's Workout Commercial It's good. Re: The Movie Thread - A. Crow - 10-03-2012 Saw Dredd. Exactly as expected. I'm ok with that. Re: The Movie Thread - Maxon - 10-08-2012 Just watched the sub of Ronal the Barbarian.  It's dumb, goofy, and cliched, but I thought it was still pretty entertaining lol https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KuWrhLaellg Re: The Movie Thread - Squishy3 - 10-08-2012 Tai Chi Zero Exclusive Trailer [HD] i want to see this movie |
