Re: Neat stuff (non-lulz but interesting things) - matter11 - 05-20-2012 I've never seen a dog like this dalmatian golden doodle Re: Neat stuff (non-lulz but interesting things) - kaese - 05-20-2012 Matter, have you seen corgi mixed breeds? There are some pretty interesting looking ones. http://www.buzzfeed.com/mjs538/awesome-corgi-cross-breeds Re: Neat stuff (non-lulz but interesting things) - matter11 - 05-20-2012 (05-20-2012, 01:19 AM)Käse link Wrote: Matter, have you seen corgi mixed breeds?
Those are pretty awesome, I'll definitely make my corgi owner friend look at them and convince her to make Corky wear a little argyle sweater. and matter, there are other "hypoallergenic" dogs such as the schnauzer, shih-tzu, a lot of terriers, and bichon frise if you are interested in something other than poodles (although poodles are wonderful). I used to own a jack russell and I didn't have any problems (I also have allergies). I used to own a jack russell and I didn't have any problems (I also have allergies).
I've looked at a lot of hypoallergenic lists and a lot of the dogs you listed are tiny. I'm looking for a medium to large dog. I'm also looking for a mix for health purposes so I want a standard poodle mixed with something. Dogs even in the same litter vary in how much "allergy-chemical" (idk the name) they give off so you can look for which ones have curlier hair and hence more poodle genes. I also loved the hemp-corgi's hat. I'll probably buy a cat before I get a dog when I get my first real apartment and job. Already decided to spend too much money on a Siberian. Re: Neat stuff (non-lulz but interesting things) - Versus - 05-20-2012 doge. cate Re: Neat stuff (non-lulz but interesting things) - rumsfald - 05-20-2012 I wouldn't call a jack russell terrier tiny. Not to one's face. http://youtu.be/gh84o5STysk few breeds of any size are as bad-ass as JRT's. Not the type of dog you want if you plan for it to loaf around a confined apartment, though. Re: Neat stuff (non-lulz but interesting things) - Didzo - 05-20-2012 My family has a JRT. She's thankfully pretty calm as far as the breed goes, but she still needs 3 walks a day and and doesn't play well with with small furry critters and lizards. The breed is intelligent and needs a lot of mental and physical stimulation. I've been to a couple of JRT meets too and the dogs that actively hunt are not to be messed with. Bundles of muscle with attitudes much bigger than they are. Re: Neat stuff (non-lulz but interesting things) - matter11 - 05-20-2012 my neighbors have a jrt (possibly a mix) that does not get close to enough stimulation. I baby sat for them once and although kind, the dog would tear shit up and it constantly barks at people when it's outside. Re: Neat stuff (non-lulz but interesting things) - kaese - 05-20-2012 Yea Jack Russells are fierce. They are also very protective and will bark aggressively at strangers (pretty common behavior). The rat hunting part...mine died after eating a rat that was poisoned I'm thinking about getting another one anyways since they are great dogs. They also don't shed too much. I thought that was kind of odd since Comcast isn't exactly a company with an awesome consumer reputation. Then I saw this: http://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2012/05/extra-lane-how-comcast-assures-that-xfinity-tv-on-xbox-360-works-well/ Seems like Comcast *might* have violated or at least been in danger of violating their consent decree. This could get interesting. Re: Neat stuff (non-lulz but interesting things) - k0ala - 05-22-2012 tl,dr: "that depends on your definition of 'prioritization'" hilarious |
