Re: - FlyingMongoose - 06-29-2015 Browsing Netflix Found this http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2784512/ Immediate thought: "Next brbu movie night? We can MST3K the shit out of this." Note: Have not seen one second of this film. Sent from my wireless communicator. Is there any way to stream outside of the law?
Many of us have Netflix anyway, so a synchronized "play" countdown for those people would make it relatively easy to get a similar effect. If we do it your way though whoever would do it would have to have a significant amount of upload bandwidth.
Let me introduce you guys to https://rabb.it/ Essentially a synchronized VM with voice chat and webcam as well as text chat for people without a mic. Video chat can be turned off entirely either by the room owner or on a person by person basis. No push to talk last I checked, so use headphones instead of speakers unless you really want endless audio loop. (Like if someone were to say... share a PERSONAL video... via their screen share... and let the audio broadcast too? But their only access to do this is a private YouTube or something similar that can only be accessed via a streaming service?) Only used it a handful of times but nobody I know ever said they had any problems with the video/audio not syncing up Basically the way it works is someone is the "leader" of that room, and they punch in a youtube video or some such, and then everyone is watching the same video feed Re: The Movie Thread - Didzo - 07-04-2015 Well, Trainspotting is horrifying. 5/5 Re: The Movie Thread - FlyingMongoose - 07-08-2015 Someone let me know when we can do a movie night to watch zombeavers... Saw it with some hipster types who definitely aren't action-movie-types and they loved it too. It's out of theaters now but if you played borderlands you are required to see this movie. Re: The Movie Thread - Didzo - 08-15-2015 Watched Whiplash tonight. Very intense movie. It's good shit. I do understand why they didn't get Gibson as Max after he went crazy (from what I can tell) but this is supposed to be yeaaaaars after beyond thunderdome. Why does he look not only nothing like Mel but even younger? Other than that casting was ace. He's just a vehicle for you, the viewer, to enter into the world of the movie. I'm pretty sure that this Max isn't meant to be a continuation of the Max of the previous movies anyway. ---------- I watched Her tonight. The plot is predictable but the performances were great. Dem feels hit way harder than expected though. Re: The Movie Thread - Mission Difficult - 08-23-2015 (08-22-2015, 10:51 PM)Didzo link Wrote: He's a placeholder. Max doesn't matter. Lots of references to previous movies but nothing in the plot aside from him having a child who was killed. Shaun the Sheep is probably the best comedy this year. They directly show the events of the older movies, just without the mel max and the new one instead. I also understand that Max is intended to be an observer but he also has some character and I would have liked him to look at least kinda like the previous rendition of him instead of retconning that mel max ever happened. Re: The Movie Thread - Squishy3 - 08-31-2015 so you can buy mad max2, beyond thunderdome and fury road on steam the original is on there too but it's free and just labeled system test and is the fury road trailer RE: The Movie Thread - WaR1761 - 09-14-2015 NSFW

RE: The Movie Thread - KarthXLR - 10-18-2015 Just saw Rosemary's Baby for the first time after long delaying it for years now...jesus h. christ that was a masterpiece. A fucking creepy horrorific masterpiece. I'm going to do a write-up on this. Shiny and chrome RE: The Movie Thread - The Generic Name - 12-17-2015 Star Wars Episode 7 was pretty good. I thought the set deisgn wasnt as....interesting as before....but it was such a nice redemption to the series that Lucas garbled up and threw onto a green screen. I love you Practical Effects. I love you sooooooo much |
