Seven is coming three years after Vista. Let's take a look at some OS history. Windows 95 to Windows 98 - 3 years. 98 to 2000 - 2 years. 2000 to ME - 6 months. ME to XP - 1 year. Windows XP to Vista - 5 years. Windows Vista to Windows 7 - 3 years. The gap from Windows Vista to Windows 7 isn't short. It's just that the gap from Windows XP to Windows Vista is long. Let's take a look at some OS history. Thanks, Spore. Vista is the foundation of Windows 7. In contrast, Windows ME is the foundation of nothing. I'm wishing I had held off on Windows 7, but I'm not going to throw myself off a building because I bought Vista. They are NT kernels. 2000 and ME were developed at the same time and were aimed at different users, basically home and pro. |
