No, that must be memorized, and there are also random drops, so just because a location has weapons once, doesn't mean it always will

Explore moar

There are places that always have weapons and then random drops.  Suitcases, lockers, drawers, cabinets and places like that will be random.  Hidden areas and certain bins always have weapons.  Also some weapons are found in specific places.

Make sure to check the Crew Only areas as well. Provided you don't get caught, you can get some great stuff from there.

And luggage areas.  There's always a ton of shit in random suitcases and the trunks of cars.

Yea if you can make it to the car storage on that one ship you find a shit load of amazing weapons.  Plus there is a few traps for when you bump into someone else.

Re: The Ship Sundays 7/5/09 - Neonie - 07-08-2009

My Ship has ARRIVED. The product code worked just fine as well :3

Re: The Ship Sundays 7/5/09 - Neonie - 07-09-2009

I played this yesterday. I honestly don't see what peoples problem with it is. I played on an open server for a good bit both with Ensign, SWPM, and Eclipse and theres not that much random killing. Maybe because I came into the game late but aside from one or so douche and the Brb server crashing (It had to uninstall I assume) things went pretty smooth.

I quite enjoyed the game as well, it has a few bugs but once you get used to the system it works (it could use a few improvements, but maybe that will come if they ever make The Ship two).

Re: The Ship Sundays 7/5/09 - Surf314 - 07-09-2009

My ideal "The Ship" game would be MMO or large server (100+) with no rounds and a ranking system like that afro samarai anime.  Like you get assigned a target at the bottom rank when you log on you you work your way to the top.  Then add in a "hit list" system where people can put out hits on other players for money that you can take on as well.  Also some way to make money to buy food, bribe, weapons, etc.

That I would play constantly.  Especially if it was an MMO or at least saved rankings and stuff so you don't reset each time you log out.

That definitely sounds like an interesting idea. It'd have to be a pretty big ship though Tongue

Sounds pretty cool, but I'd rather have just The Ship with better hit detection >.< It's flawed, but I still really enjoy it, and while what your suggesting sounds great, it's not really a sequal, but more spinning the series off in a complexity different vein.

What they really need to do is lower the price of it on Steam and make a big deal about it. Tell blogs and stuff, actually get people playing it.

Pretty much all the ships are life size, but good idea anyway.

Thats because it uses source and melee, melee hit detection is broken by pings in every game that uses the engine, from HL2Big GrinM through TF2
