[/quote] Don't think so, this one just followed Red, his Rival Blue, them meeting Green and Yellow and fighting the Elite Four and Team Rocket. They're currently on a Gold/Silver arc but I stopped after the "originals" arc finished up because I just can't see anything being more badass than the manga version of Red/Blue. [/quote] There's an episode of the character driven Pokemon series (chronicles, I think) that focuses on Brock winning back Pewter Gym from his mum, and in it he also inspires one sibling who he names next gymleader.
