And I have mixed feelings about this... It might be because it's summer but the servers have been empty more often lately... so we're kinda spread out... Hope this won't spread this out even more...

It shouldn't spread us too thin if it's serious only. Like all-talk mostly off, no-crit, pick-up/tourny/practice only. Which is something we desperately need - locking down the other servers always upsets someone and makes everyone think we are being all exclusive.

Mix feelings, I don't think we do things often enough to warrent another server. If you want to get a private server solely for the purposes you listed then it would cost you half as much.

Using a PS3 as a server is possible as long as there is a Linux version. I have Ubuntu running on it currently, but yeas. Maybe not a Source server...?

I would say it's unnecessary, or at least premature. As has been stated, it's not as if #1-3 are constantly full. There is a server free for the majority of the time that can be commandeered for some cereal play.
