i'm not paying a mechanic
it's just that i just payed for 6 months of insurance and it kinda dropped me in the whole
parts are hopefully going to be not so bad though, gotta call for prices for a rebuilt tomorrow.

Back on topic, I blue screened again. This time it's "bad_pool_caller"

After a few minutes of browsing, I think it may be the new drivers I installed. After all, they didn't start happening until I installed them. BRB, Reinstalling old drivers.

NVM, woke up and found a blue screen waiting for me. great. Undecided This time it's IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL.

To google!

The more I look into this, the more it points to faulty RAM.

sounds like it
if you are using dual channel try pulling one out and switching them around and such

I unplugged one and now it won't turn on. Sad

EDIT: Yeah, definitely RAM. One stick will turn on the computer and the other won't. EFF.

At least of all the things that could've been broken, memory is probably the cheapest to replace.

Re: Computer repeatedly crashing/restarting/powering off when I'm away. - KarthXLR - 11-05-2009

Aw crap, it happened again. Bad_Pool_caller....again.

Also, this only happens when my computer is on for a couple hours (I predict 4 or more). Could that mean anything?

It means that you shouldn't leave your computer on for more than 4 hours.
