Re: Diablo 3 - Squishy3 - 10-21-2011 so i guess if you order one of wow's annual passes (year subscription that you can choose to pay in monthly installments, unlike the bundles before which you had to pay a flat rate when you made the subscription order) you get a free copy of diablo 3 Re: Diablo 3 - Spicy Chicken - 03-27-2012 Release date 05/15/2012! Anyone else playing beta? Re: Diablo 3 - Spicy Chicken - 04-02-2012 EXCLUSIVE: Diablo III Demon Hunter Spotlight Video New video out by IGN about Demon Hunter. After playing the beta with all the classes i'll probably put DH at third priority. Barb and Wizard are way too much fun to play. And not using guest passes or guest mode either! Re: Diablo 3 - Spicy Chicken - 04-12-2012 http://us.battle.net/d3/en/forum/topic/4427704063 More beta invites going out so check your bnet account! Re: Diablo 3 - Trace - 04-23-2012 Played the beta, solid gameplay as expected, but was underwhelmed by the graphics. Probably gonna wait for a sale or something. I know what you're talking about Trace. Models and textures are all very polished, but it does look like the engine has been around for a while. I'm happy with what I've seen in the beta, but I can't help but feel a little haunted by it's quest/checkpoint driven plot. Shades of WoW: Rushing you through to the next and the next and the next. Re: Diablo 3 - Trace - 04-24-2012 Honestly I wasn't really amazed by the game so I don't mind, and there is always the chance of finding it on the high seas Re: Diablo 3 - Squishy3 - 04-24-2012 (04-24-2012, 02:31 PM)Trace link Wrote: Honestly I wasn't really amazed by the game so I don't mind, and there is always the chance of finding it on the high seasÂAnd then no LAN support bcuz blizzard. Re: Diablo 3 - A. Crow - 04-24-2012 I've still got MAJOR reservations about the required server connection and Blizzards proven inability to provide it under stress. I'm thinking about just sticking with torchlight 2... it'll be like 20 bucks, be on par graphically, and work offline. The downside is torchlight never felt nearly as epic, a little more grindy, and the story was lackluster. I'm hoping they hit a homerun with the second one.  Re: Diablo 3 - cbre88x - 04-25-2012 (04-24-2012, 06:54 PM)LT Crow link Wrote: I've still got MAJOR reservations about the required server connection and Blizzards proven inability to provide it under stress. I'm thinking about just sticking with torchlight 2... it'll be like 20 bucks, be on par graphically, and work offline. The downside is torchlight never felt nearly as epic, a little more grindy, and the story was lackluster. I'm hoping they hit a homerun with the second one.  for good reason. I played it for 10 minutes. It kicked me off, and then I had to procede to login again and play from the very beginning. I said fuck that shit and haven't touched it since. I like Torchlight anyways. Re: Diablo 3 - A. Crow - 04-25-2012 So, according to Kotaku, it only took 300K people to break the Beta, which I'm going to hazard is less than 10% of how many people are going to be trying to play at launch. Re: Diablo 3 - copulatingduck - 04-26-2012 (04-25-2012, 10:15 PM)LT Crow link Wrote: So, according to Kotaku, it only took 300K people to break the Beta, which I'm going to hazard is less than 10% of how many people are going to be trying to play at launch. Wowwww. I mean, how many people actually downloaded the beta, and how many were they expecting? I mean, they had to have known a lot more than 300k people were gonna hop on the open beta. Hope it's sorted in a few weeks' time. I mean, it's not like they don't have any experience operating millions of dollars worth of servers or anything... Though that Panda beta is in pretty piss-poor shape server-wise too..
