Re: New Graphics Card - Maxon - 10-12-2011 Alright, got the new card in. Been awhile since I've just replaced a graphics card, so I assume with the old card still in, I need to wipe all my drivers, then I pop in the new one, install the drivers it comes with, and then make sure to have the most up to date one. Whats the easies way to wipe the current drivers? I know I remember during the Rage fiasco, I was seeing a program for driver cleaning, but I don't remember what it was called. Re: New Graphics Card - KarthXLR - 10-12-2011 Download latest driver for new card -> Control Panel -> Uninstall programs -> Delete Nvidia/Catalyst driver -> restart if necessary -> install new driver -> ??? -> profit Re: New Graphics Card - Vandamguy - 10-14-2011 Hey brah , dont forget to register the video card to enable the lifetime warranty. if you dont do it within 30 days , you will only get 1yr Re: New Graphics Card - Maxon - 10-14-2011 I registered it the other day Re: New Graphics Card - Maxon - 10-16-2011 I have come across a small problem with the new card. It seems like every so often, with nothing really intense running, I'll click something and then it'll go black and come back and say there was error with my display driver, but it has recovered. I can play tons of TF2 and Dead Rising 2 with no issues, but with just some desktop idling, it crashes the card? It's happened maybe three times since Wednesday, but I'm not sure what is going on. Re: New Graphics Card - Vandamguy - 10-16-2011 see if you can find these drivers 267.24_desktop_win7_winvista_64bit_english_beta they're old , but a lot of people report the greatest stability with them. Re: New Graphics Card - Kirby - 10-17-2011 And people say ATi has driver issues. 7 month old drivers with the greatest stability? Just sayin' Re: New Graphics Card - WTF Joel - 11-05-2011 Do you use Firefox or Thunderbird? Because apparently the newest drivers don't like either of them too much Nvidia TDR Error Similar things were happening with my new 560, but I never stopped to consider this issue before I sent it in for a replacement. |
