good luck not having the game spoiled before next month. i mean, it was hard enough to avoid spoilers before it came out! (thanks video game news blogs!) Re: Batman: Arkham City - Maxon - 10-18-2011 While not the toughest ending to the game, from a story perspective, it's really intense. Much better than Asylum for sure. The ending, I didn't see coming at all. Extremely well done. Some people worried that too many characters would bog the story down, but I think most worked with the story and the rest filled out the sidequests very well. I still have a bunch of Riddler stuff to do, and a few sidequests I didn't finish, but that is still hours of content. Spoilers for the ending...
That was one hell of a way to send off Mark Hamill as the Joker, really finishing the Joker, but it was fitting I think. The twist with his double really threw me. Not often you see this in a series where a beloved character, even a villain, gets this kind of send off in more ways than one.
Re: Batman: Arkham City - KarthXLR - 10-19-2011 Awww, shame to hear it's so short again. :-\ That was my biggest complaint about the first game. Well, it's going on the Christmas List. Well, it's going on the Christmas List. That's hardly that short. It's an 8 to 10 on average if your just running through the storyline stuff. Twice that and more if you want to try and do everything. Sounds pretty good for a game that isn't an RPG or massive exploration game like Fallout and Skyrim. This also doesn't even include challenge maps you get to play afterwards, alot of them unlocking through getting Riddler trophies. With it beat, the game stays open ended after you win to complete stuff, so I'll probably try to finish all the sidequest stuff with this run and then do a new game + as Animated Batman Re: Batman: Arkham City - Luca Shoal - 10-19-2011 Yeah I was derping and thought you had to get the suit for Frieze first. And I tried to blow up his case from the front. Figured out my problem. Got through the Assassins now (Raish? It's always been pronounced Roz) and finished off the Bane sidequest. Gonna work on some more sidequests. That weapon breaking takedown is pretty awesome, also. Re: Batman: Arkham City - Maxon - 10-19-2011 Man, it does look gorgeous on PC, glad I have it on that also lol Batman: Arkham City NVIDIA GeForce GTX PhysX PC Trailer Re: Batman: Arkham City - Vandamguy - 10-19-2011 (10-19-2011, 03:01 PM)Maxon link Wrote: Man, it does look gorgeous on PC, glad I have it on that also lolyou're welcome Re: Batman: Arkham City - Luca Shoal - 10-19-2011 I'm fine with the game as it is on the 360, meh to the extra physics objects. I'm almost to the end of the story I think. That GCPD fight was nice, you know the one I'm talking about Maxon. It's a shame there aren't many chances for ledge takedowns, or glass ceilings...or wall takedowns. Grate ones too. Re: Batman: Arkham City - Trace - 10-19-2011 That video makes me sad because I only have an 8800GT :'( Re: Batman: Arkham City - Squishy3 - 10-24-2011 use the cryptographic sequencer on the falcone ship right before the industrial district until you get a password prompt. the password is city of terror. enjoy. Re: Batman: Arkham City - Trace - 11-30-2011 Just picked this game up on PC, playing on hard like I did in Arkham Asylum. My 8800gt is starting to show it's age, physx drops my fps from 60 to 26 Game is great so far. Re: Batman: Arkham City - Maxon - 11-30-2011 Game runs nice for me, but this probably the first game I've played on PC in years where I kinda wish I had a controller for it. Punching and countering is better than a controller by using the mouse, but it feels like everything else is just all over the keyboard. Multiple buttons for the different counters and I've not even tried to do quick gear use strikes yet, but I haven't delved to far in it yet since I'm playing other new games right now (I've already beaten it on 360). I'll probably grab a wired 360 controller eventually, but not really gonna buy it for a game I got free right now lol Re: Batman: Arkham City - Trace - 11-30-2011 I bought a 360 wireless receiver off ebay for around $15, that way I can play all the terrible console ports in style 8) Re: Batman: Arkham City - Maxon - 12-10-2011 Anyone have this game on 360, that wants the Batman skins pack? I bought it when the game came out, but didn't know it would take so long to come out.  Since I don't have it on 360 anymore, the skins pack is up for grabs.  Just send me a private message for it. *EDIT* Taken Re: Batman: Arkham City - Squishy3 - 12-10-2011 (12-10-2011, 02:13 PM)Maxon link Wrote: Anyone have this game on 360, that wants the Batman skins pack?
