Well you can turn off both Avatars and Signatures via a forum option. Alternately, if you only want them disabled on a single computer:

Install <browser that supports AdBlock>
Install AdBlock
Use the following custom rules:

im not sure whether or not you have it as very many single gifs, but i recommend you put it as one long gif to make it less heavy or something

I was in a counterstrike community (like pre-1.6) that had a 100px restriction on the height of your signature.
