There's a team scramble plugin that just shuffles the teams up without restarting the map. There's also one that allows you to forcefully swap certain players, which can be helpful in some situations.

Plugins sure, but last I checked the scrambling plugin randomly removed the map timelimit. NOBODY wants a 90 minute long goldrush match.

As for allowing admins to force people to switch teams: no way, I've already had too many problems to dole out moar admin privileges. Honestly, it just falls on the people in the server to deal imho :-|

edit: and yes, I agree with dave, moreso since some of the people I think he's talking about are complaining about stacking... :Smile

I used the scramble plugin when the FFG server was still up and never had any bugs/problems with it. :o But yeah, true on the admin forced, I forgot how many there are.

The only way to fix this would be a scramble plugin which has problems that Duck pointed out. For the most part I would rather have the best players (Sweater etc.) on the opposite team so there is a challenge. A team stack sucks for both sides. If you want a list of the people who constantly seem to stack on my side then message me and I'll pass out the names. It isn't any fun for me either (although pocket medics are cool).

And yes this problem has been getting much worse within the last week or so.

If a random team comes in and wants to stack on one side I personally have no problems with this at all. The Z clan did this and it wasn't an issue whatsoever. We still rolled them hard.

Note: I do not condone any BNGD members stacking together. I don't think I've seen this happen a single time yet.

Nobody has looked my idea - AUTO RANDOM AFTER THE "WAITING FOR PLAYERS" STAGE. You guys are talking about randoming whenever - I'm just talking about this little part, not before, not after.
NOTE: Change 30 seconds to 45 to allow more people to join when random begins.

I want to try this and see how it works out. One day, three days, whatever. If it doesn't really change anything, take it off. However I'm pretty sure it will change some things.

Radio, Dave is right (if that is really sarcasm) , I have seen some 'BNGD' (that I've never really seen before, I doubts they ever even read the forums) team stacking more than once.

Next time is kick from me, if Dave isn't there before.

I thought BNGD were BRB'U guys, like Sweater, Versus, Radio and Jokerrrrrrrr. Then again, I usually have no idea what I'm talking about unless it's Phoenix Wright.

On teamstacking though: Forcing random is a bad idea, but it's kind of sad were even discussing it.  I haven't actually seen it all that much a lately, but it always sucks to join the open team, only to have all of BRBU hop on the other, and rape you to a crisp Sad Props have to go out to Dave though, for actively switching to the loosing team to keep things fair.

Of course Teamstacking happens but luckily it's a hell of a lot rarer then on other servers I go to, and it's nice that most of the good players have the decency to not pair up.  But the teamstackers already know who they are and if they're gonna be douches there's no real way to stop them.  All you can do is try and kick their ass, then I dunno, rub it in their face.

Now that I look at it the issue isn't even about skill. It just comes down to which team has more retards. 4 backburners, 3 snipers, 3 spys? HOW CAN WE LOSE?

Also stop crying stack just because your side is losing. One side will always lose it is not a personal thing against you. I'm starting to see people cry stack the second point 3 gets capped on a cp map. That is dumb.
