ok, when was the last time you heard me micspam? I believe it was on the FFG server where you yourself were ENCOURAGING IT. Otherwise, I can't remember doing so to such obscenities that people would get upset. If they did and asked me to stop, I did. Next time, please do your research, especially considering you weren't even on here when when I did.

I wouldn't mind seeing it edited to take mute off or something to make it less harsh, but I've been burned by screaming clips way too much. I can be jumpy in general and you will not see me leave my seat faster than a screaming clip. I levitate. It gives me a lot of comfort to only hear the first .0001 seconds of some assholes griefing clip before he gets pwned by that plugin.
I wish there was a volume filter for the plugin. Since it's really just the loud and obnoxious griefing spam that I want to keep out of our servers.

I would be fine with it being removed on #2, but I would strongly urge leaving it on #1 as is. Nothing will get me to leave a server faster than a bunch of jackasses spamming clips they believe are funny. They are not.

I think there should be a 5-10 second warning. I hate getting muted because I accidentally hit my micspam key (which I just so happened to bind to backspace INSTEAD of delete...still regretting it.) and there are no admins on. I can always type retry and just join again, but it erases my score and is annoying.

One problem I could see here is the moderators on the server who just plain hate mic-spamming and will kick someone, even if the guy just wants to have fun. If it's loud, I guess the moderator could tell the guy so he knows to turn down next time. That's truly the only problem I see with removing it or adjusting it - the moderators who have the power to mute them if they just don't like it period.

I think we've reached a decent compromise on this, its not on #2, which has all of the stock and the silly customs that attract the kind of player that would enjoy this sort of thing.
In addition if anyone wants to make some kind of 'mic spam night' or announcer blues night...or whatever, please contact me and I'll help you set it up

You must be cracking some kind of joke if you really think anyone who's played TF2 for more than a week does anything but slam enter/click/keyboard smash past the MOTDs in servers.
Budr, I don't know if the one that's on there now can be adjusted, but I am fairly certain there was one that could be edited down to those sorts of details that I skimmed past when the FFG server was up.
But yeah, /thread, it's off on #2 now and that's fine being that it can generally be started as easily as #1 if people are actually online.

Actually, I just noticed today that our 3 golden rules aren't on the motd anyways.
So there really is no warning at all.
