It would also be less of an issue if half of us didn't call each other names from that to god knows what else on a daily basis. While I agree with you, that guy should have been muted, there's a difference between saying "that so gay" (which I still feel is pretty Tongue and tacky but I digress) and outright calling someone a faggot.

There really isn't, english is filled with hundreds of homonyms, heteronyms, and slang words that are based on intention. While getting upset over someone saying "that's gay" is stupid, that should bring light to how stupid it is to get upset at someone for saying faggot when they're not directing it at gays and using it as a general insult. etc. etc.

This was still more directed at the specific incident as I am pointing out that respect needs to be enforced for everyone.

Blues, you had already been warned for screaming into the mic not five minutes prior; anyone, feel free to dispute me on that.  I believe I have witnesses.  Anyway, then you said "faggot" on voice.  Because you had already screamed and gotten a warning, I just up and muted you as a knee-jerk reaction.

I'm adamant on not tolerating "faggot" , "nigger", "kike", "spic", and other words in that realm.  I feel no need to defend that stance since I believe it falls squarely under the "don't be a dick" rule. 

I did hear someone call Valentine a "bitch", and then I heard her say, "Don't call me that."  I didn't react to it or that individual because I didn't think it needed anyone to do anything.  I would accept being criticized for not reacting to that.  However, I did not hear anything else from that person whoever he was besides that.  If there was a lot more than just the bitch remark, I was inattentive and there's no excuse for that.

If you have a problem with me slapping mute on you when there was other more pressing issues I should have addressed, then petition to get my admin rights stripped.  I won't shed a tear.  It's probably a long time coming anyway since I only play consistently on Fridays and I'm a shitty admin at any other time.  As obviously evidenced by this mess.

... I still stand by my actions.  That's it.

fail, it's no big deal.  i was standing on a teleporter waiting to be whisked away when some punk came up and knocked me off and took it.  i probably called him an ass or something jokingly like when people steal my metal, he got bent and called me a bitch and some other stuff.  blues was just taking up for me <3

ysoemo, I'm just pointing out whoever it was needed to pay more attention and not go favorites on the server. Only admins I "file complaint" about are the ones I see consistently abusing their power or just going about things completely inappropriately, i.e. muting or kicking players with no reasons or warnings, etc. Since the only one I ever had to complain that badly about no longer has admin, well.

I never heard you say anything about screaming, probably because the entire server was talking nonstop and probably the same reason you didn't hear him continuing after calling her names.

Regardless, I make no promises I won't stop using the word faggot, it's ingrained from childhood the same way as those people who can't go a sentence without using the word fuck. Say something about it if it actually bothers you when I'm playing and I'll put extra effort into paying attention to it, but don't get pissy with me when it pops out as an unthought reaction. I hate hanging out with gays like Honest, so obviously I'm not discriminating

It's when it gets to this point when we REALLY need admins so we can mute those who are being obnoxious.
