I have a pair of 80GB Western Digital IDE drives that have been in my file server for the past 6 years, it runs defrag nightly and hasn't been shut off for the past 1341 days.

Both drives report Power on hours in excess of 68,000 (~2,800 days)

As well as Zero Raw Read Errors, No Seek Errors, No CRC Errors, No reallocated sectors and no hardware Error Corrections.

Don't buy junk drives and they can handle that much activity. Every HDD I have in use right now is a Western Digital, and I have never, ever had one fail, some are from the late 90's

I suppose I should have pointed out my TF2 is on a RAID-0 array, sp RAID controller deals with fragmentation on the fly though. =x

steam defrag and windows defrag don't work the same as defragging from within the gcf, if you had read the link you would know that

but if you want to half-ass reading about lag fixes have fun with your lag, I was just trying to help
