Re: PAX 08'? - Lode - 08-26-2008 One of these days, I SHALL GO TO PAX. AND IT SHALL BE AWESOME. Re: PAX 08'? - cbre88x - 08-26-2008 A lot of DCI,WGI, BOA, and PASIC events (and headquarters) are moving to Indianapolis to make it a much more centralized location. Seems us musicians actually have a damn brain. Atlanta would be fantastic, but they are currently doing a shitload of roadwork there. So now would not be a good time. Plus..I'm an hour away from it at school..hour and a half from home. Re: PAX 08'? - Surf314 - 08-26-2008 (08-26-2008, 03:43 PM)Lode link Wrote: One of these days, I SHALL GO TO PAX.
Atlanta is the delta hub of the country for conventions though, Air fare to anywhere in the continental US and Canada is cheap as dirt, hence why I added it, but Chicago/St Louis/Minneapolis-St Paul would be a more central location Re: PAX 08'? - Eschatos - 08-28-2008 (08-27-2008, 11:27 AM)CaffeinePowered link Wrote:
they said they're planning on doing an east coast PAX, I don't remember when they said they were planning on starting it though
Thats still the SAME FUCKING PROBLEM, its on the opposite country from the people on the west coast, unless they are planning on having two at the same time.
Screw that, Atlanta has great southern food - true southern hospitality and is only a 6 hour drive for me. Also they are more diverse and tolerant than many southern areas, and they got some cool places to go. Like stone mountain where you can get hand tossed rolls and atlanta underground which is really neat when it doesnt smell bad.
You might have mistaked Atlanta for Savannah there. Although, the Coka-Cola factory is fucking sweet. Free soda delivered to you from ever brand they have ever had in the most kick ass ways, plus all the bottles they have floating around Re: PAX 08'? - rumsfald - 08-28-2008 (08-28-2008, 04:18 PM)Surf314 link Wrote: Screw that, Atlanta has true southern hospitality, like stone mountain where you can get hand tossed or have a roll in the atlanta underground which is really neat when it doesn't smell bad. Re: PAX 08'? - Chooly - 09-01-2008 HEY GUYS, I'M BACK FROM PAX. CAPS LOCK FTW!!! Awesome time, I saw & played, In no particular order: Demigod - awesome Starcraft 2 - also awesome Left 4 Dead - I wanted to try zombies Dead Space - Remains to be seen, still am expecting something good though. Castle Crashers - Crash some castles Sugar Rush - Definitely recommend a fun smash-bros-style fighter Not the complete list, still slightly mush-brained from 8 hour flight. I will definitly be buying a 3D Pneumatic Force-Feedback punch vest. for hilarity Did not get any hands on time w/ fallout 3, but the presentation was promising enough.
