So bad its good. Bladerunner is tops, just got the blu-ray fancy edition with the plastic unicorn. I also enjoy Sneakers a lot. I known a lot of people that love Chasing Amy and hate his other films, Chasing Amy's also the only film he has in the Criterion Collection. I personally like all his movies, even Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back had it's charm. The special features are ridiculously good on that set. I love the way they edited the deleted scenes together to form a mini retelling of the story. And the Dangerous Days documentary is epic. Really? Dick is probably my favourite author and definitely my most read but, as much as I love the book, I'd say the film is on another level entirely, for me anyway. OK, Resurrection was kinda mediocre but Alien3 is a classic, took it right back to the claustrophobic, ill-equipped, thrilling feel of the original. I love Aliens as much as the next guy but in a completely different way, I think people too often overlook the last two films. Re: Favorite movies? - copulatingduck - 08-21-2008 Lol. I rewatched Aliens 3 a few nights ago. Forgiving the god-awful CGI, it was actually very good, and I'm glad Budr convinced me to watch it again. Also, Rambo. Ghostbusters (1, then 2) Interview with a Vampire (fucking hilarious for some reason) 28 Days Later White Noise (even though it was terrible. Its sequel was better only because it had the guy from Firefly as the main character) Crank Honestly I can't remember most of the movies I love. I have a shit memory. When I see a movie I almost ALWAYS like it so its really hard for me to pick out specific favorites. I will add to this list as I think of them. |
