Bullshit. I post on a vBulletin board that allows embedded Youtube videos, never noticed any slowdown. Looks much nicer from where I'm sitting, I never click Youtube links, can't be fucked loading a separate page, rather just click play and carry on reading the thread.

Yes, that was it. Also, I've noticed with Firefox that too many embeds make the flash player completely fuck up.
