Yar. Got into it a two years ago when some black belt friends called me up after work and pretty much said "get some stuff together, we're picking you up in five minutes". It's definitely a lot of fun, although our club is pretty small and only practices once a week. Going for my blue belt test on Tuesday, which I'm pretty excited about. I should be going for my red stripe, but I took 4 months off during the winter and didn't feel ready for the last testing. :S
We're also going to Ottawa in three weeks for the intercontinental cup. It'll be my first actual competition, but what I'm really excited about is that there are going to be two masters and one grand master putting on a seminar in conjunction with the competition. It'll be awesome. ^_^

Nice. I used to do Tae Kwon Do. Got up to black belt then quit. Now I'm super rusty.

Apparently a lot of people do that. Either get to black stripe or 1st dan and then quit.

Black with white stripe FTW, also the big secret is you don't actually learn real Tae Kwon Do until you get to black belt. Need to prove yourself first :-X

Black with white stripe? Never heard of that level, although it seems every other club does things a little differently. In my club a black stripe is one level down from a black belt, which I believe follows the "official" ITF system.
And yeah, everything up to 1st dan is really just the fundamentals for the real training.
