Also, my high school sucks and doesn't offer Computer Science. >_>

Also, my dad's loaded, so I'm fine there. Tongue

And...yeah, the six hours of Java a day may not be so fun.

Honestly, do it. It's Harvard, no matter how hard they might have lead you to believe it might be, it will not be. I get A's there easier than I get D's at MIT, it's not much work at all (grade inflation ftw!) Besides, if it's really that bad, I could get you boozed and well-fed every once in a while. Oh yea, F u too: -1!

Anyone who is smart enough to get invited to Harvard shouldn't have to ask whether or not to attend.

Whoa, whoa. Dude. It's not "Harvard". It's summer school. It's at Harvard, so it's still a damned prestigious summer school, but it's not "going to Harvard".

That does not excuse you from going, though, Versus. Get your ass in there.

It's a college prep summer program at Harvard, by Harvard. Having that on the resume is a big foot-in-the-door should you want to go to Harvard for undergrad, or just about anywhere else.

Re: harvard summer school - cannedpeahes - 06-08-2008

I'm sure there was some question whether or not it would be worthwhile.

Re: harvard summer school - Versus - 06-09-2008

Actually it's http://summer.harvard.edu/2008/programs/ssp/ , but very nice try rummy.

Part of me asking was, well, I would have a lot less TF2 time with you guys. :'(

I'm not planning on going to Harvard, but...I do have a pair of twin cousins who both went to Harvard. Tongue Also, my freshman year, and, to a lesser degree, my sophomore year of high school was not very impressive. :-X

jorge would kill to have this German keyboard, with all of its ö kind of keys.

Also, nice dick.

Mate, I've had a 2.7 unweighted GPA most of high school and I still got offered a $26,000 scholarship and $1,000 of other financial aid from the Honors College.  It's all about the SATs (and how many hits your name turns up on Google).

Re: harvard summer school - Versus - 06-10-2008

720 math, 780 verbal, but not at the same time. :<

Also, I wanna get into Caltech/MIT. They're my first choices; otherwise, Rice or some other good college; otherwise, UT Dallas (basically the branch that seems to focus on engineering) and hopefully a good scholarship. Wink

They have a computer rental service. I wanted to bring my big one, but I can't Sad. Full towers and 24" monitors don't fly well.

Re: harvard summer school - dapngwnman - 06-20-2008

Yo, if you are still looking at schools, carnegie mellon is pretty badass CS school as well. Of course, I am a dumbass and ended up at NYU, but still. We have a guy who did shit for HL2 on our teaching staff, good enough for me. Big Grin

Re: harvard summer school - Versus - 06-22-2008

D:

I don't think the computer I'm getting will be good enough for TF2. Sad
