Played for like 2 hours straight; I actually like it, it's a lot of fun.
I can really see battlefield in it of course, and the characters are kind of funny; I don't really care for the gain XP to buy items stuff, but it's alright. There are some interesting looking weapons that I'm saving up for, hopefully that'll be fun.
So far gameplay has been fine for me; only crashed once and I think that was my fault. Otherwise it runs really smoothly with the exception of people's customs being loaded; it is really quick to do so but if a bunch of new people join the server, their customs have to be loaded so it chops for a few seconds.

They wiped, now you gotta pay real money for costumes... and they only last 7 days to a month. Huge cash grab.
Should be able to at least earn BF money without paying...

Ehh...it would be cool, but it doesn't really bother me. Costumes don't effect the gameplay.

Just got into the Beta after signing up for it weeks ago. The gameplay is alright. It's like Battlefield, but Battlefield: Kiddy Lite. It's not bad, but it's like they wanted that TF2 style and then went the next level to make it more kid friendly with sillier weapon effects, a rather stiff third person shooting style, and extremely colorful levels. I'll play it since I'm in the Beta, but I'm not too big into the idea of the casual shooter they are trying for with this and BF 1943. I guess there's BF: Bad Company 2 to want later this year.

The game gets boring so fast and the Beta is filled with hacks cause Punkbuster isn't functioning in the game yet. It's like the game Combat Arms which is a poor ripoff of Counter-Strike, but you have to buy your weapons every week or month, but why play that when you can just play CS with custom maps and models? Why play BF Heroes when you can play BF2 or BF2142?Â
Also the insanely kiddy aspect of the game is just so annoying. It's not like TF2 where they tried for something less realistic, they really went all cartoony with slide whistles and bonks and stuff for the sound effects and the animation is just so stiff and boring. They are pretty much marketing to people that are like 12, even though to get the clothing and other pointless items, you have to pay real money. I really don't see this game lasting all that long.
