I played for a while today. It's prettier than earlier ones but I still liked Simcity 2000 better. Terraforming, advisors, and a couple small details were made to work worse than they used to. Also the driving/flying missions are really stupid and make the game way too easy. Finally, I plan to build a toxic waste dump next to Tragic Hero's house when it's my turn.

My turn began as most awesome things do:Â with a volcano.
I added a bunch of zoning, two police and fire stations, a courthouse, the beginnings of a highway network, and a boner shaped island. Problems were had halfway through when I ran out of water capacity and I didn't realize that pipes needed to be connected to new pumping stations. A bunch of buildings got abandoned but I finally got back up to positive income before my turn ended. Also Versus and Tragic moved. People who come after me, remember to update new locations at the end of your turn.

if a building becomes abandoned, demolish it unless money is tight.

I'll try not to- I haven't played SC4 in a longass time so I don't know how my mayor...ing skills are now, but you can trust that I'm not gonna play Robot vs. Tornado all over downtown.
