except FO3 if you watched particular gameplay vieos if you tried to just go out guns blazing you wouldn't live very long. at least not in the beginning.

Just to tell you, the original Halo had medpacks, and you only had 8 health points.

Interview with the lead designer. Kinda some good, some bad sounding news.

I had to do this quite a bit in HL2. With just a crowbar.

I really like the tweak shifter (http://www.moddb.com/mods/shifter1) added for that - auto-activation of the 'power save' implant, and lowered idle drain from the regen implant combine to really turn them into a useful combination.

Well it was left with Eidos, and SE bought Eidos, so SE now owns Deus Ex, Tomb Raider, Soul Reaver, Hitman, Thief, and anything else they had.  None of this actually means anything, as I doubt SE plans to actually deal with Eidos' properties directly, but it's still weird.

This is a program I wrote for Deus Ex and Deus Ex: Invisible War that lets you play in a widescreen resolution with a proper FOV and HUD size according to your aspect ratio.

And forcing the player to run around scampering and scavenging for medkits across huge maps is better? Both systems have their flaws, I wouldn't call it the 'biggest bunch of bs' by a mile. Ideally, I'd like to see a game with health regen for the player and enemies, but that's just me. :-X

Would you rather it rain medkits?

This forces people to be a little more cautious about when/if they use them and how they approach a situation. Have a lot of medkits? Maybe you can go in guns blazing, it not, maybe you should set some traps with LAMs and lure enemies into them or try the stealth approach.

There were some parts, especially in the beginning where they could have been less stingy, but I think its part of what makes the game fun.

problem with that is most games execute stealth horribly. Enemies who hear you fart from a mile away and who sound alarms at the drop of a hat ruin it.

New character revealed, named Fedorova:

"New" trailer, featuring the new character reveal:

Okay so it reuses a lot of scenes in the old trailer and it's in Japanese but there are a few new ones there. English trailer is supposed to be released tomorrow.

That new character looks so fucking awesome in motion.
