Anyone have any phones that they are happy with on those networks?

i think i have decided on that one. There are quite a bit of good reviews up. I have to wait for 2 months for my contract to be up with sprint though.

has anyone ever used any of the HTC touch phones?

HeK has one.
what model, does he like it?
HTC Touch Diamond. Custom firmware.

I like it. It does everything I need it to. It's powerful enough too. I can play MKVs on it Tongue
I only wish the battery was stronger. I have to charge it every other day.

looks cool but a bit expensive for me. i think after a bit of research im leaning more towards the 'simple' phone rather than the smartphone i was initially setting out for.

OH SHIT, I had a tilt until last week, when I found out my water bottle was open in my bag with my phone.  The point is that the phone is trash anyways.  It is a giant brick that you want to smash all the time.  SGH D807 greatest phone ever invented if you want one for like 20 or 30 bucks on eBay.

Re: Cell phone suggestions? - Sgoast - 05-07-2009

i work for a cell phone provider. the htc touch pro is amazing but way too pricy for what you're looking for. maybe a samsung delve? more reasonable pricewise and still has some smartphone-esque qualities.

Re: Cell phone suggestions? - rumsfald - 05-07-2009

On my third BB in....6 years? 7?. This last upgrade, I tried the G1 for a week and returned it because the battery was atrocious (not even close to a full day) and the OS and apps were still rough beta whereas BB just plain works.

Re: Cell phone suggestions? - KarthXLR - 05-07-2009

Got an EnV 2 this week. It's a nice phone, full keyboard, nice battery life.

Karf approved.

Re: Cell phone suggestions? - at0m - 05-07-2009

I've grown to <3 my BB Curve 8330. The only thing that bugs me is that I can't type without looking like I could when using T9 on my old Nokia.

My gf loves her Rant.

Re: Cell phone suggestions? - zaneyard - 05-08-2009

not sure what im gonna do anymore
im paying 50 a month with sprint
equivalent at verizon would be 60 a month
so im trying to decide if 240 dollars over two years is worth it to get me a snazzy fone

im kinda holding out for sprint to get some phones from this century before i go and sign another contract.

durp, my phone is old and a piece of shit, so I want a new phone. I don't really want an iphone, though. Hek's phone looks pretty good.

HTC Diamond protip: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=38999

Basically for any PPC phone, first step is to reflash with a 'cooked' rom.

Re: Cell phone suggestions? - Kenny Strife - 05-15-2009

I'm in love with my Sony Ericsson w580i.  There's a new model out.  It's not for everyone, though, because it takes a special memory card and adaptors and all that jazz.  If you signed a two-year contract with AT&T you could get one for free.

I had before I got my iPhone. I liked it - it's a really nice phone, and pretty reasonably priced.

highly recommend this, got mine a few weeks ago and love it.  i've been with verizon for a long time now and have never had any problems.  so glad i didn't go with full touchscreen phone, having the qwerty keyboard thing is so much better (and faster).

if i end up deciding that i absolutely need a data plan, that's where im going, but for the time being i have a messaging plan through sprint that is ten bucks cheaper than what verizon would give me and i have always had great service through them.. now if they would only get some phones from this century....

Re: Cell phone suggestions? - Darklink - 09-07-2009

I'll be needing a replacement for my Rant. Probably a Blackberry Curve. Thing doesn't like getting washed 2 times in 7 days.
