Ok, the current thinking is on Thurs 5th Feb, Quake 1 shall be played. Nearer the time I'll find the best places to buy it all, and probably get some help from a smarter person than I on the easiest way to get some kind of network rolling.

Regarding voice chat, anybody know the best way? Is there a Brbu ventrillo server or anything?

No, just the engine is open source.  Also if you wanna do Q1, you could just do Cube instead, since it is totally free.

I think I have some Q1 CD's somewhere, but I don't know if I wanna dig them out, or how nicely they'll run.
