Re: BAHSTAHN - copulatingduck - 03-01-2009 So, what time are we doing dinner at that place? Idiot needs to copy-paste cuz I forgot the name of the place. I got a review session for an exam at 9:30 (no idea how long it will last though) so hopefully dinner at 7:30 or so? I have to do dinner as part of that training thing Tues night, so I'm not going to be available until probably 8/9p. Suck. Every day I saw a minimum of two accidents, and that was from a 20 minute drive on the freeway each way. People didn't know how to follow at a decent distance; would close gaps when you signaled; change lanes without looking, let alone signaling; understand that 'slow traffic keep right'; drive on both shoulders; etc. It's the only place I've been where half the cars had blackened front wheels from brake dust. How many high-speed stops does one have to do in a day? I also encountered a Toyota hybrid with the place 'bgreen' doing 20 mph above the limit; good job saving the planet there. How about the GPS in the rental car set to avoid traffic congestion, and it directed us around in a circle? : Re: BAHSTAHN - Squishy3 - 03-02-2009 You guys want to see some bad taxi drivers, go to Mexico. Everytime I've gone there I've always seen a cab completely flipped over in the middle of the road at least a couple times. That reminds me when I saw a car flipped over in a Target parking lot with no hubbub about it at all. Re: BAHSTAHN - copulatingduck - 03-02-2009 At least it's not as bad as The Golden Quadrilateral. The area I was in with my parent's had no taxi limitations. If you had a car, and something to paint 'taxi' on the side, you were qualified. The trick was to find the oldest looking driver, as he has survived the longest. |
